This thing is just a joke. Can’t see they work for anything. Why do they stay there if they never do jobs?I can’t believe I contribute thousands dollars tax every year to support them. They said they r for consumers. In fact, they r hurting consumers.

Very helpful! Great appreciate to Officer Paul. The bond issue that real estate agency didn't solve while I came to visit them everyday of a week. But got it down in half day since Justice Officer contacted them.

I have just phone this office and the recorded voicemail message on their answering machine states the following:You have reached the office of Consumer Affairs and Fair Trading. We are currently closed and will not return until 4 January 2016"It is currently 10:07am on 22 March 2016.I'm not sure whether coming to live in Tasmania was a good idea! They are definitely living in the past."

These people are a joke. If you ever find yourself in need of consumer protection in Tasmania, you're on your own. Wherever there is an absence of protection you have the potential to be rorted. TAS is horrible.

This organisation is woeful and pity we can't have zero stars. They are more about protecting the construction businesses over the customers which makes me wonder about the relationships this organisation has with the construction businesses in Tasmania. Don't waste your time and speak to a lawyer and contact ACCC to try to get help resolving your issues. We spoke to a lawyer about my issue and they were pretty clear the plumbing business we were dealing with had done the wrong thing but the cost to take them to court was the same cost as the invoice we were disputing so we decided against it but we felt like going to court out of principle. At least we can still share our experience with our friends and professional networks in the hope they don't choose the plumber we went with and have the same experience (or a worse experience).

Totally a time waster, useless for consumer at all, they should named as business protector. Definitely a zero star review, but google does't allow that.

I tried calling them 3x, each time I ended up being placed on hold for 20-30 minutes, each time I hang up. Waste of time and energy.
