To be honest, I would have given 5 starts if we didn’t wait for over an hour for the food with 2 kids complaining in the background - admittedly it was the day before Mother’s Day’s day, so it was extra busy, and the owner did give us all a free drink.The food was beautiful, it was very well made. Flavourful and gorgeous looking. Calamari was soft, lamb curry was cooked to perfection, burgers felt gourmet, and definitely loved the melted cheeses. Drinks were great too.Atmosphere was great with some nice music, especially on a warmish winter day it’s practically perfect.Only problem, as I said, was the speed. We arrived at 11 and was given breakfast menu, ordered at 11:20 and the owner said they can’t take breakfast order anymore, gave us lunch menu at 11:30, we tried order straight away and was told we gotta wait a little bit, meanwhile we haven’t even got drinks down.Finally ordered lunch at 11:40, but food didn’t arrive till like 12:25pm. My kids have started going crazy at that point, and when I asked about food at 12:15 we were told the food hasn’t even started yet. By all measure, I felt very ready and justified to give a 1 star.But - the food was genuinely good. The owner did apologise. We did get a few complementary drinks. It was a busy day before Mother’s Day. So here we are, just 1 star short of a perfect score.Will come again. We enjoyed it.I look forward to the next visit and hopefully the food will come quickly so I can give that 1 extra star back!

We came here for brunch for my son’s birthday. Lovely hidden gem. Generous portions and friendly staff. We booked a table as there was 10 of us on a Sunday but we probably could have fit without booking in this particular day. Had a choice of inside or outside seating. Food was very tasty and place was clean. Also went for lunch a couple of weeks later and food absolutely delicious.

We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch at this cafe in a leafy area of Rouse Hill, away from the hustle and bustle of the shopping centre area.We arrived for a late lunch just after 2pm and were pleased that they still had the full menu available - we were a bit worried about the kitchen closing in advance of their 3pm close time, so stoked there were no issues.I thoroughly enjoyed the chicken shish and pita, and my partner said the beef burger was good also. He paid $5 extra to add halloumi and was surprised at how much he got! Most cafes will sling a couple of pieces but he got 4 or 5! Great value! We also had a side of the loaded fries with spiced lamb - don’t be fooled by the “side” designation, it was a huge serving and we ended up with way too much food for the two of us. Yummy though!Staff were all super friendly, and even brought out a takeaway container filled with water for our dog. Couldn’t recommend more highly! :)

I ordered two coffees, and it took about 15 minutes, and it wasn't a busy time.It is a nice place, but the service is questionable.we ask for table water and the waitress said you can take it from inside yourself, which was okay but it would have been nice if she brought the water.And to add salt to injury, two coffee cost us $13.And when I asked why so expensive, the lady explained that they were large and you had soy milk.

Had a great Birthday celebration at The Local Shed cafe a couple of weeks ago. There were six of us - we ALL enjoyed our meals - even catering for low-carb options (no-bun burger) for standard menu items. Staff were very friendly and attentive and they were happy for us to bring our own birthday cake. Lovely local gem!

It's a hidden gem in Rouse hill a beautiful setting great for your day parties baby showers etc.. we went there for brunch..and the food though it took longer than usual was worth the wait ..the burger was juicy the kebabs were moist and the bread was so fresh. On top of it was good coffee too. It offers great views ..good food and gentle music..overall a very pleasant experience .

The Local Shed Cafe
Love this cafe. Friendly staff and great services. Could be my regular brunch place from now on. Easy parking around and not forgetting good food and coffee as well. Simply spent 7 hours just chat and coffee for today. Never tired of a quiet and tidy neighbourhood atmosphere.
