My go to fish and chips when I am in picton. They have a great menu, hamburgers, hot foods, rolls, great coffe, and always busy. There is indoor and outdoor seating available. I recommend

The food is as good as the customer service, amazing. We are lucky to have this family business in our community and will always be our go-to for take away. Drop in, have a laugh with the crew and try the Portuguese burger.

We ordered a lunch meal at MagPie Cafe in Picton NSW (love the name Mag Pie) Quarter of chicken, chips with gravy and a plain Hamburger it was delicious, a good old hamburger, thank you Bobby. Not like the yuppie ones you get in the city.I recommend this hard working gem in Picton.My order was placed, I will bring the food to your table.Melvyn asked, how much is it? Bobby replied, pay me later, what a lovely trusting LADY.

Looking for chicken and chips in town, Magpie cannot be beat. Yes its casual, yes, there are normally half the operators family hanging around watching TV on the lounge and yes the food is great, the service is great and the price is great. I like it. real people, real family, and people who are not afraid to be rude to me when I deserve it. There is not enough of that in the world anymore. Having a laugh over a bit of casual rudeness. Anyhow a good place Thanks team, keeping doing what you do however you see fit.Edit. Please get more of the Lychee drink, that stuff was the bomb!

Dirty cafe. Extremely unfriendly, rude and unwelcoming staff. Chicken was over cooked and salad was FROZEN. Yes it’s frozen with literally ice on tomatoes and feta cheese and olives. Never going back. Waste of money.

Having breakfast at a café isn’t something I do regularly, but since I was in Picton this morning, I figured I’d treat myself.Treat myself, I did! I stopped into the Magpie Café unsure as to what I was going to have, but knowing that that I have heard good reports from the locals about its selection and quality. One thing I did know for certain, I wanted my breakfast on a plate, and... bacon. I was craving bacon and the breakfast I got had ample and perfectly cooked, savoury bacon.The bacon, two eggs, sausage, tomato and toast were the perfect start of the day! With the addition of a cappuccino, this was as close to a faultlessly executed breakfast as was possible.Now, about the service. I’m a fairly decisive person, but this morning all I was certain of was that I wanted a breakfast with bacon on a plate. The incredibly helpful and patient lady behind the counter helped me quickly decide what I wanted and the creation of my morning meal began. It was delivered to my table outside promptly and, again, with a smile. When I needed a new serviette, one miraculously appeared without even asking.If I could give the service and food a higher score, I would! Take the time to have breakfast here. It’s a top-notch café in a town with only a few options in the morning.
