Volunteer Fire Station. On-Call 24/7. Dial '000' in an Emergency. The C.F.A could not operate without the vast numbers of volunteer Fire Brigades and the thousands of highly trained volunteers both rural and urban. Many stations of course are manned by full-time staff in the more populated urban areas. The volunteers at Dereel have been protecting the area for many decades and have evolved into a highly trained unit, with more sophisticated modern fire trucks & equipment, as opposed to the much older basic appliances.
