Olinda Fish Cafe
Visited here for lunch a day past boxing day. Although the place looked pretty basic but (1) the ice cream is very nice and creamy (we had the strawberry and rum & raisin - both were very authentic); and (2) the fish and chips - fish was fresh with nice thin batter. Chips were crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Salad was fresh. We were pleasantly surprised.The staff were a bit over loaded as it was a public holiday but they handled the pressure quite well.All in all we would recommend this place for the ice cream and fish & chips. Not sure about the chicken or other food.

After a big walk around the olinda botanic Gardens (wear comfy shoes peoples) I needed that good old refuel. While there are many.. many cafe and cute little restaurants in the area, I decided to give these guys a go. So glad I did. They do these yummy gyro packs. While the shop doesnt look like much, this is not average meal from a little fish and chippery. Come in and grab a bite!

The fish and chips was packed perfectly for picnic on the lawn, with lemon wedges and 2 sauces. The salad was tasty and packed in a separate box. The chips were to to die for, very crispy and just the right thickness. The price was reasonable too at $15.

We’re so pleased with the Olinda chips shop and its recent new owners. The food is magnificent, the burgers are fabulous, with a whole lot of flavour, the chips and potato cakes are super. The staff are very friendly also. The best eatery in Olinda. John

Fish good, batter ok. Burger, chips and potato cakes were great. Calamari was seafood extender pressed into ring shape. Let's try a tad harder, thanks.

Fast service. Value for money. Friendly staff.We bought 6 pieces of chicken and small serving of chips. The chicken was good.The small serving of chips is aloooot and enough for 2 or 3 people.

I’m a local. Tried this shop yesterday (Good Friday) after I heard it had new owners. No complaints from us. Delicious, hot fish and chips. Tartare sauce appears home made - yum! Greek sweet delicacies for sale also. We’ll be back for sure. Highly recommend.

We are lokals and saw that the fish and chip shop in Olinda had new owners so hubby who loves Fish and chips and I thought we give them a try.We both agreed that was the worst fish we had so far, soggy butter, all you could taste was flower and the fish was really leathery . I let the Lady behind the counter know what we thought about her fish.No, I didn’t ask for my money back.

Absolutely disappointingWe brought a large chips for $9 which I could of held in my to small hands!An brought 2 kids packs each pack had mayb 10 chips in safe to say my 4year old an the 2year old had there's an our dinnaWill never go here again honestly a ripp offGave 1 stars because atless it was freshWish I could add photos but there's no space to let me
