Extremely disappointed with this service.I’m usually forgiving of places — especially when busy. However, the food service was unacceptably poor. We ordered our food at 12.47pm (confirmed by checking our bank receipts) but got only 1/4 of the order 30 minutes later (one was burnt). We were told there was a delay for the other pizzas. Later, 2/4 of the order was delivered 50 minutes after. The final member of our group was told their pizza was delayed because the dough had to be made afresh and they had just missed the batch, but that they were aware 1 pizza was missing and would be onto it now. This would have been understandable if other tables didn’t subsequently get their pizza orders after this. We went to the front and asked about the final pizza and staff said that they were aware that this member had ordered a capricciosa and that this was in the oven now. Staff offered to give the pizza to us in a takeaway box or to give a refund (and revoke the pizza). An unacceptable option.The final member of our group waited 1.5h for their order and at 2.25pm was told that they forgot to make the pizza. Again, completely unacceptable when other tables had eaten and left around us (and had ordered the same dish as the only options on this menu are pizza!).Update: we had a conversation with the owner and they explained the issues they were having in the kitchen (they had new staff saying our food was in the oven the entire time when it actually wasn’t ). In the end they gave us a free cheese platter, chips and a refund as compensation for the 2 hour wait and constantly having to come up and check in on our food. We informed the owner we had to leave this review, even though it wasn’t their fault, it was still incredibly frustrating.

Great small brewery with a very good range of craft beers. I have a tasting paddle of 4 beers, my favourites are the golden ale and hazy ale. Also had the pizza here as well, serve hot straight out of the oven and very tasty. Overall it has a vibrant, and a bit quirky modern pub vibe. Highly recommended.

Lots of beer options, and a great pizza menu, although the 10” looked a bit small for $18. The hazy pale was a bit off the mark in that it was not hazy and missed the mark. The holy grail was billed as a pacific ale again not quite there for me.

Lovely spot and great drinks. Staff are super friendly and helpful as well.

Shedshaker Brewery was a real treat. Beautifully crafted pizzas that are to die for! I also loved their range of brews, the cloudy pale ale being my favorite. Well done to the Shedshaker crew.

Very good local brewery in Castlemaine. Located within the Mill Castlemaine area. Its a great stop after shopping in the Mill shops especially on hot summer day.They have a good range of hand crafted beer. Plenty options to choose from. We had a jug of Golden ale which was very good. $24/jug for normal day. 10% surcharge on public holiday. We went on Australia day.Also have a good selection of food too.Plenty of parking. Having both indoor and outdoor setting.Highly recommended!

Great brewhouse with awesome food and good service. Thoroughly enjoyed a relaxing afternoon with dips platter and capricosa pizza. Both were super tasty and reasonably priced! Highly recommend for anyone looking for nice place to relax ot catch up with friends in the Castlemaine area. Forgot to mention great range of boutique beers on tap with local wines and other drinks available. Will definitely be visiting again!

What an amazing place this is. Opposite the botanical gardens is this small industrial estate where Shedshaker Brewery is located.They have 10 taps and some great beers. I tried a few of the beers including a great Raisan Toast Ale which actually tasted like sultana bread with it's cinnamon and raisan/sultana flavours. But would you have it for breakfast? HahahaThe stout was fantastic and the cafe next door roasts it's own coffee and supplies Shedshaker. So each bottle of stout has 1 shot of coffee in it. Whoa yes please lol.The Celtic ale was another winner. This place serves food, there's plenty of seats inside and out the back too.A special mention to the lady who is a co-owner was some of the best customer service ever!! She was absolutely lovely and so helpful.I walked out with a mixed slab, yes you can do that, which is great.This place is a must visit if your in town, and it's only 90 mins drive from Melbs, and walking distance to Castlemaine train station. Cheers.

Great location, and good vibe. Recommend the Golden Strong Ale, Scotch Ale, Holy Grail and Choc Porter. Wasn't a fan of the Pilsner or Hemp.
