I asked for a key cut for my letter box from 1970s..I had little hope because it is just too old.The key arrived in two days and they did work. Very glad I contacted Paul.

Helped me out with a damaged bike lock. My bike is now free! He was really nice and had good communication and did a great job. Would definitely recommend!

Called here for a car door lock issue. The lovely gentleman couldn’t help me as I am outside his service area, but he empathised with my issue and provided a quality recommendation for someone in my area. I had my own new key, and needed it to be programmed to a new fob to match my car. Locksmith came out (late, not at the agreed time (5pm) and it was dark by the time he arrived at 8pm) and programmed it, but then he left the plastic tag in it. He suggested (in a rude manner, asking if I was 'serious' and using words like 'wow') that I simply 'cut it off' - but this would have left a sharp little tag as it wouldn't be possible to cut it off 'flush' so that it wouldn't be visible or sticking out.A key such as this, I would be handling daily and it would be very annoying to have a little plastic thing sticking out.Luckily, I was able to google and figure out how to remove the fob from the key so I could safely cut it off and dispose of the entire thing.I felt he was quite rude from this encounter.The invoice he provided had the wrong details on it, and I had to request another one with the correct details. Again, it was wrong. I requested please send another one and clearly outlined with screenshots and highlights the issues.He declined to provide another invoice because it had the most important detail, which was the rego and according to him, that is good enough.He is a good locksmith, but attention to customer service needs to be improved on. Note the other negative reviews, the manner in which he responds to them. There's no understanding forthcoming.

Big thank you to Paul for getting me inside my apartment in a time of serious misfortune. He was professional, upfront about the process and costs, and also came back on a different day to finish the more complex job of reprogramming my car keys. Grossly advertised or overpriced or both. I understand the after hours fee and I understand that $45 is the minium fee but that quickly escalated to $285 and felt pressured into saying yes. Bless the technician for helping me get inside but I felt so slighted by being charged double what I felt was advertised below a quarter.Try elsewhere first; shop around a little. Paul was very quick to respond to my text inquiring about mailbox keys and was very helpful answering questions. The process of paying for and ordering the keys was so simple and the keys arrived very quickly (ordered on a Sunday, sent on Monday, arrived on Tuesday). I would definitely recommend 24h Melbourne Locksmith when you need to solve a lock/key issue quickly and easily!
