Wollomombi Falls Picnic Area
Like a mini version of the grand canyon. You can't get that close to the actual falls, but the views are very impressive anyway.Pack decent walking shoes as there are a few trails you'll need to take on to get the best views. None are too challenging.

Wollomombi Falls Picnic Area
A great place to unwind, quite and cool. Basic amenities include such toilets and water. Barbecue is provided and mostly cleaned and well maintained by the authorities looking after the park. Awesome bush walk and breathtaking views around the gorge. Highly recommended to drop by and rest while driving along the waterfall way .

Did a day of waterfalls along Waterfall Way from Bellingen to just outside Armidale. Stunning scenery lovely walks and facilities at the picnic area are good.

Amazing views! I had no idea something so spectacular was so close to a full country highway. Definitely check this out if travelling between Dorrigo and Armidale. The tracks are easy to walk, well maintained and signed.

Wollomombi Falls Picnic Area
A lot of parking space. Space for car and trailer. There are various lookouts. The easiest and closest to find with a short 3 minute walk to plateform is the main falls lookout. But you can also walk another 200m to the checks lookout. Both views are spectacular. Just amazing to see the gorge formation due to probably landslides.

Wollomombi Falls Picnic Area
As far as picnic areas go this one is pretty good. A few picnic tables and a bbq, well signposted tracks and a toilet. A fair amount of parking. It could have more rubbish bins but you can’t have everything. The road in is paved and in good condition. A good amount of mobile reception and wheelchair friendly area. Worth a stop.

Lots of parking here, new toilets, a number of picnic tables and we'll maintained area. The walking tracks vary in their grading but we had no issues. Just took it slowly on one of them.

Wollomombi Falls Picnic Area
Great picnic area with facilities. Main viewing platform only a short and easily accessible stroll from the car park. We did the other walks around the gorge but believe the best sight is from the main viewing platform. Absolutely breathtaking views! Follow along on our adventures around Australia @sambolomio
