Dinner on a summer evening, beautiful. Chef Tobin creates an unique fine dining experience in a relaxed, cosy atmosphere. Non pretentious, quality focused, and we could really appreciate the effort and research put into each course. The house made non-alcoholic pairing is a rare feature, very creative, and provides another layer of complexity to the overall experience.PS: Great sourdough bread

My partner and I enjoyed lunch at Moonah on the weekend, he had the wine pairing and I had the non-alcoholic pairing.The meal was exceptional, and the environment was so lovely! The wine pairings were great too.However, it was the non-alcoholic pairings that stole the show for me! They were extraordinarily creative, such a joy to experience and the whole experience was worth every penny.We’ve eaten at Brae, Vue De Monde, Attica etc, and Moonah absolutely holds it’s own among them. Humble and well balanced and the whole experience certainly shared a feeling of joy for the food and for this part of the world.If you’re trying to decide whether or not to book , I highly recommend you do!

What a tremendously contrasting experience.It’s rare for a place of such quality and class to reek of humility.Food that has finally brought ‘punch in your face flavour’ back to our plates, yet balanced somehow through restraint, complemented by high quality sustainable wines.Every staff member was equally humble as knowledgeable.Outside the wildlife put on a show whilst inside, the elegant interior took a back seat.The best dining experience of 2022 and fittingly The Age Good Food Guide Regional restaurant of the year.We will head back and encourage you to get in if you can!

Have greedily dined here twice now.The team are fantastic, Amy’s wine knowledge and Tobin’s unique use of local foraged and farm produce makes for a memorable meal.My partner has had matched wines which he always commends Amy’s on.I have had non match pairings which are equally impressive. I dream of the mushroom consommé.The location is quiet and quaint with an feeling of family being such a small 12 seater venue.There is a view of the picturesque billabong from every seat, honestly a meal to remember.

Fantastic food and service. Love the intimate setting (just 12 diners), the wine pairing options were superb, and the setting is incredible. Favourite dish was the wild venison with pioppino mushrooms.

Incredible culinary experience. Complex flavours entwined with flawless technique and presentation. Matched wines were exquisitely complimentary and the service was amazing.Well done to the team at Moonah, a wonderful fine dining experience that is joyful and world class.Celebrated our wedding anniversary last night and we're already planning our return visit.

Great service! Went there last August to celebrate a friend’s birthday. Have to modify my schedule a few times due to changing of the guests. Chef and manager were super sweet and patient.Food is simply amazing. I love their “farm to table” concept as it did delivery a great multi-course dining experience to me. The most amazing one I still remember is dessert with sliced truffle, which blowed my mind as I’ve never seen such a great mixture of truffle with sweets. Besides, these courses are not only delicious but also a great sight. They also provided great alternatives to meet my guest’s dietary requirements.I would also recommend their non-alcoholic pairings, most of them are naturally fermented. Didn’t take pics of them but definitely worth trying.

Don’t like posting reviews like this but feel it’s a must when you spend close to $600 on a dinner experience for two.None of the courses hit with us above and beyond or even came close for that matter. Usually at fine dining we have a few “wow” factor moments. None for the right reasons here unfortunately. There were very strong notes to most dishes either a cheese or smoke flavor which was overwhelming at times so if that’s not your thing maybe think twice before coming here. Everyone enjoys different flavor profiles so maybe this just wasn’t for us.The kicker here was having what I can only hope was a small head hair accompanied with a fish course. I’m assuming the wait staff never mentioned it to the chef as nothing came of it after it was pointed out which was a little discerning.The dining experience was like watching a b grade movie at best. Disappointed to say the least as we had high hopes. Do yourself a favor and do the wine pairing if you do choose to dine here.The two stars are for the wine.

Amazing restaurant for our mini get away trip from Melbourne . This restaurant located in hidden valley with beautiful set up , looking over creekChef Tobin was welcoming every single guest, delicious food and presentation. Highly recommend trying non-alcohol matching , everything was made in house
