Wells Design took the time to find out what our needs were and matched those needs to the garden design. They guided us to create a design and plant a garden that is not only beautiful, but is also manageable for our lifestyle. From conception through to completion they took care of any problems - and when a plant died for an unknown reason, they replaced it no questions asked. They followed up after completion providing valuable information for future care and upkeep of the plants. Thank you. I highly recommend this business for your design and plant needs.

EDIT 2:Steve came out to look at the garden and replaced some of the dead young trees with new ones at no cost, but unfortunately they also died. He also got the landscaper gardener to come back and re-mulch. Unfortunately the new trees also died and the remulching meant I lost all the little succulents and mondo grass that was part of the original design (although they kept getting covered by weeds anyway). I’ve also been advised that a lime tree was put in a bad spot and won’t thrive where it is.I stand by my original review that Steve has been really pleasant, courteous, and friendly to deal with (despite my negative review) and has tried to help and fix things. However the negative is that the garden design hasn’t worked and a previously messy but established garden is now a weedy mess without any shade.—EDIT:Thanks for coming out and chatting. Looking forward to things getting sorted and will update the review.—Positives: friendly and courteous and pleasant to work withNegatives: unfortunately the design looked great on paper but didn’t work in reality: Mini japanese maples get sunburnt with insufficient shading designed for them; quotes came in at twice the budget I had stated; an important part of the design brief was low maintenance and the design removed established trees and have left me with a weeding nightmare. The landscaper they recommended also did a really bad job.Summary: nice to work with and design looked good on paper but ultimately didn’t work in practice and did not fulfill the criteria I asked for.

Yvonne was very happy to work within my budget and in a way that works for me. There wasn't any hard sell to buy higher level services. She was very generous with her knowledge and gave great practical advice on how to improve the garden in a way that works for me. Highly recommend.

Last year Wells Design Landscapes designed our garden and made the project. The staff were very professional.Yvonne and Steve stay in touch with me and answer my questions about the plants. Thank you very much for that and I am very grateful.Every morning before work, I either look out the window or go to the garden to enjoy my eye and heart. The garden was beautiful last year, but this year it is wonderful. Our friends are delighted with our garden, and I am already looking forward to the warm days to sit on the sun lounger in the garden.Margaret & Janusz
