Harcourts Northern Rivers - Real Estate Agents Ballina

Beware: I booked and paid for a house rental through Harcourts Northern Rivers in early February, now in mid April, less than two weeks before our booking, Harcourts cancelled our booking after realising and admitting they booked us at a cheaper rate (off peak) than they should have and were not willing to go ahead with the booking at the rate we paid!! Talk about disgusting customer service, admitting their mistake and then not taking the short-fall, cancelling and leaving us without a place to book on such short notice it’s a bit suspicious they probably got a booking at a higher rate, very greedy

I would definitely not recommend to anyone; unless you want terrible customer service, lack of communication and your time wasted.As a seasoned traveller I have never been so put out and had such an issue. This company left me, and my fellow travellers, high and dry two weeks out from travel!We did not even get the decency of a curtesy contact when they cancelled, just an email of their cancellation - allegedly (that was not receive), and a refund that appeared (which tipped us off).Definitely not impressed by the lack of communication between staff and “the owner”, professionalism and just plain taking responsibility. We have been advised we will have to rectify the situation ourselves and find accommodation elsewhere, talk about passing the buck.

I had my home appraised by Kylee Keir from Harcourts and was very impressed with both the detail and thoroughness of the appraisal and her professional and personable approach.Based on my very positive experience with Kylee I intend to list my property with her when it comes time to sell. I have every confidence she will do an excellent job, backed by the Harcourts Northern Rivers team.

Justine is an outstanding real estate professional. Justine is proactive in understanding both buyer and vendor needs and wants. She provides guidance in home presentation and actively engages buyers through providing written details of the property and showcasing and demonstrating the property’s attributes.I highly recommend Justine to both buyers and vendors.

Judy Woodfield from Harcourts was an absolute pleasure to work with. She had extensive knowledge of the property and the area and had a very clear plan. Judy was able to sell the property for an amount I was very happy with. More importantly she was able to deal with some requirements I had around the sale, through very clever problem solving, without which I don't think the sale would have happened. Always returned my calls and emails promptly and was always positive and on top of what was going on.

Deeann was a wonderful managing agent for my rental property in Byron Bay. Always followed up things and offered good sound opinions on all matters. Highly reliable as are her management in particular Natalie! As I have sold the property now, I highly recommend this agency for any property management based on quality performance.

My rental property has been very well managed since Harcourts Northern Rivers took over the rental management 4 years ago. I am kept fully informed about anything happening at the property such as leasing, rental price increases, inspections and maintenance without having to get involved. Any maintenance requests have been necessary and carried out at the right price. The property manager Deeann is looking after the property much better than if I managed the property myself. I have no hesitation to continue using the services of Harcourts Northern Rivers.

Terrible! So unprofessional. I have rented a storage container for nearly 2 years because I was stranded in Thailand due to Covid and I had to let my house in Byron go and store my belongings. I came back early this year and cleaned it out and we have waited 6 weeks to get our deposit back and that’s only because we asked for it. However I am now told that I didn’t return the key (and I know I did) so a new key has been made so we will lose our deposit. However no receipt has been produced for this when requested, we have no idea of how much it was.I have had countless emails and phone calls with Natalie the Managing Director who seems to be only interested in laying blame and not solving the problem.Do yourself a favour and use McGrath Realestate who are just down the road. They are so professional and helpful. I have also lodged a complaint with the AFCA.

The Harcourts Northern Rivers team are outstanding. Having helped us purchase an off-the-plan investment property, they also manage our tenants with the utmost professionalism and efficiency. Communication is great, and, above all, we trust them to handle something that is important to us. Highly recommended.

Rented a property on cherry st through Harcourts which was mostly positive however it was soured by unsatisfactory communication and lack of accountability from Natalie and her team regarding our end of lease inspection no show from them leading to us being charged and extra $220 for 1m2 of carpet cleaning. This was after we paid $450 for professional end of lease clean and had one day remaining to rectify anything that Harcourts required. They instead made a judgement call and failed to give us our opurtunity to get our cleaner to sort it out at no extra cost. This could have been handled better with a little humility and accountability from Natalie and her team
