The Pines Orchard
May be not very fashionable and well decorated place but they've got one of the best apple pies I tried so far and definitely the best ones on this road around Bilpin. Apples in pies were chunky and the pies are not too sweet so you can smell and taste apples and not sugary apple stew. Sturdy thick crust that's not soggy at all. A slice of a pie that goes with coffee is literally a quarter of the whole pie. Very reasonable priced counting the quality and taste. Coffee is fine. Service was nice an fast.

First and foremost, the apple pie was delicious. Freshly cooked (but not overcooked) apples in the centre surrounded by sweet short crust pastry. Simple, no fillers...just beautiful and fresh apple pie that was baked today. The service was fantastic and the coffee was great. Worth the trip to support bushfire affected communities.

One of the worst apple pies I've ever had. Just cubes of dry apple, biscuit pastry, overpriced. At $14 one would expect a great pie. Coles pies beat it hands down!! AVOID..

Lots of honey and locally produced jam. The highlight is the apple pie.

The Pines Orchard
Very disappointing apple pie. Whilst the pie had all the components of a great pie (fresh chunky apples and soft pastry) the actual pie was a let down. It was literally just apples in pastry - no extra flavours (cinnamon etc) and was served cold. The passionfruit slice was rock solid and hard to cut. Everything was very overpriced and service was not good.

Great place to stop and enjoy their famous apple pies. While you're there check out the locally produced jams and oils. Friendly staff and great service.

This is a cafe/ takeaway shop that sells local produce and treats. They have jams and preserves from local producers, as well as cakes, slices, fudge, lollies and other savoury treats too. The takeaway section sells basic burgers and sandwiches. You can get a cheap bacon and eggs breakfast for $10.50, including a coffee. It's a good deal. They have local pies here, but the passionfruit slice is definitely worth trying. It's delicious.

Home made Apple pie was nice, has a doughy crust as opposed to pastry. Was a bit expensive for a 1/4 slice with ice cream.Scones were huge, very dry and doughy. Not enough jam and cream was watery. Would have been nicer with fresh whipped cream.

Tourist trap. Bought a fresh" 5kg box of cherries and was told that they they were freshly picked that day. They even had "samples" for us to try
