City Beach - Macquarie

I visited the Macquarie centre store on 11/2/20 around 12:30pm and experienced unfriendly and rude staff and poor customer service. In particular a girl in her early 20's with dirty-blonde hair, who shocked me with her appalling attitude. I work in customer service too, it isn't that hard to smile. Definitely avoiding the City Beach in the Macquarie centre as I felt unwelcome and uncomfortable.

Never shop there again. Wanted to return something but I was one day late on their policy so wouldn’t accept. The article was too small I bought online. They need to get mature sales staff there as well. I think the managers name was Cassidy so with a name like that what would you expect. I have bought a lot of clothing at that place but never again. My advice to anyone contemplating shopping there to think twice.

Visited the store on 16th April , we found the staff really helpful with advising us on purchases , we didn’t get the names of staff but the Scottish girl was extremely helpful 5 star service

Visited this store Sunday 12/03/2022 10.45am. Asked the staff about the promo they have on their website for Buy 1 Get 1 50% off. 2 staff don’t have any idea about the promo for their own store. Very embarassing. In addition, they smirked and laughed at my question about the promo. It is not a nice gesture to your customer. Will never come back. Please train your staff a good customer service.

Very disappointed with this outlet’s customer service. My friend was accused of stealing after she had purchased a very expensive dress from here and was asked to search her bags of which she compliantly did. But the girl that worked there was not convinced, threatened my friend that she was going to take her purchased item away as for some reason the detectors continued to beep when she walked through. I had to assist my friend that was being harassed by the worker there as she continued to intimidate her persistently saying that she could not let her out of the shop unless she hand in her paid item all because of the detectors. (The worker probably wanted to keep the dress for herself god knows!)I really am appalled with the HR that hire the staff in Macquarie park city beach and the girl that was working at the time should not work in customer service again. Fair enough if my friend refused the bag search but having language barrier and having threatened for her paid item to be taken away because of the detectors is just plain outright harassment and bullying and her actions were not called for! I hope the next person you do this to sues you for all you have! Very disgraceful!

My daughters friends all shop here so she asked me to take her. Staff were very helpful and friendly. I thought it was difficult to find sizes and some of the clothes were so high, we had to get someone to hep us. My daughter managed to find some great clothes so overall it was a success.

Unfortunately they don't price match even with the big department stores very unprofessional.

The employees are hopeless. They don't know what they're doing or how to organise a store. And some (I wish I got her name) are very condescending and sarcastic, I'm surprised they have jobs in customer service. Head office of City Beach need to really pay attention to who they hire...

Just stood in the line for 20-25 minutes. 5 customers in front of us.3-4 young girls working, only 1 on the till. Other girls constantly walking back and forth past the till seeing all the customers, didn’t bother serving as well.Terribly slow staff and no care in the world.

My friend and I decided to go on a normal outing at Macquarie Centre on the 19th February 2020. Going into one of our favorite stores City Beach we were absolutely shocked by the customer service given. The employees working there were extremely rude and was acting suspicious toward us. After trying on some clothes and giving them all back, we went to exit the store only to be greeted by not one but two security guards. Just to check our bags because they assumed we had stolen which obviously wasn’t the case. Feeling uncomfortable, embarrassed and completely confused we thought it was only right if we filmed it. Both the security guards and employees started yelling at us calling us immature and rude. This situation was both unnecessary and unfair towards us considering the fact that we were both only 15. They straight away assumed that we had stolen and calling two security guards on us which we believe is APPALLING and we recommend no one come here.
