The team at Automatic Solutions was very helpful. In particular, Dwayne was of great assistance in coordinating the resolution of a niggly problem with a replacement motor. Just as importantly David (the maintainer sent to resolve the problem) was very knowledgeable and able to address the minor but complex issue very effectively. I can thoroughly recommend their support and service.

Painful company to deal with. In order to make a booking to have my gate serviced, i had to fill in a form and provide my credit card details. Then they phoned me to advise tomorrow they have a booking. I couldn't make that time so i they said they would phone me the following week for an appointment. Its been 2 weeks and im still waiting. Very odd customer service and odd way of dealing it customers.

I would not recommend this companyQuick version: I contacted them to repair a faulty intercom system where I reported the fault as a failed power supply. I was charged $188 for them to attend site, remove the unit for testing and was quoted just over $3,300 for a comparable new system as the solution to a cabling fault that did not exist. I repaired the fault myself with a $40 power supply from Jaycar.Longer Version:I contacted Automatic Gate Solutions to repair a fault with an intercom system that I had purchased from them with a gate a number of years ago. The power supply had failed – I provided them the intercom model name for reference and a note that the power supply had failed in the customer brief section of their authorisation to proceed with works form.When the tech arrived onsite to look at the problem, they did not have a new power supply, could not diagnose the fault and took the intercom system back to their workshop for testing.I was advised that the intercom was working correctly in their workshop, and that my issue was likely to be a cabling fault. Their recommendation to fix the fault was to quote for and install a new wireless system that did not use the existing cable.I was quoted over $3,300 for a new wireless system incorporating a camera and just over $1,150 for an audio only version. I declined to proceed, and the intercom was collected from their office. I was charged $250 for this process.I reconnected the system with a new power supply that I purchased from Jaycar for $40 and everything is working again. Essentially, the problem was what I had actually reported to them.On lodging a complaint with the company, they did refund the portion of the invoice for the workshop labour so the amount I paid was only $188. During my emails with them someone from their technical team outright lied to me, contradicting information I had already been given in an attempt to defend their lack of competence in handling this issue. Very unprofessionalEdit: In reply to the owner's response querying why I just did not repair it myself in the first place.I simply did not want the hassle of repairing it myself. I did not have a ladder with me and wanted to avoid getting one then climbing into the ceiling space to do the repair myself. I was happy to pay for someone to repair it for me. I assumed the company I bought it from would have the spare parts available and the expertise to do this. In this case it would seem I was wrong.

Had an automatic gate installed a few years ago. These guys did a great job and its still working like a charm and looking good. I have needed their help a few times over the years for replacement remotes etc and these guys have always been super helpful. I couldn't fault the service or the product

I would not recommend this company. The sales staff were great and knowledgeable; however this is where the service stopped.From the moment the work started to the installation of our boom gates there was a feeling of incompetence, a lack in knowledge/skill and workmanship.Workers had to be stopped on a few occasions and queried on whether they were sure they knew what they were doing, one time the workers wrongly aligned our boom gates by over a metre. Our gates are meant to be lined up but even after correcting the installation team they still are misaligned. The gates are also supposed to cover the width of the road, but this is not the case.From the 1st day of use the gates would close on cars midway through them passing and has caused damaged to several vehicles. The materials and equipment used is clearly of cheap quality, this was evident when problems occurred with the gates malfunctioning in windy conditions. The gates have never worked for a consistent period of time to be classed as functional and adequate.None of these issues have been resolved by AS, other than offering more costly invoices to repair the faults – issues like this should of be dealt with and repaired during the gates warranty.Very unhappy with this service and definitely would not use again or recommend to anyone.

DO NOT GO HERE!! DO YOURSELF A FAVOR!Absolute joke of customer relationsI bought an intercom unit from these rip off merchants thinking that I would get local support if anything went wrong in the future with it. I went and installed it with my electrician and it failed to work. I returned it to the store and waited 2 days before they confirmed the unit was faulty! But then they had the nerve to blame me for causing the faulty unit! Unbelievable!The store manager was stubborn and rude and blatantly told me there was no other option of repair, refund or replacement....only that i should buy another unit off him!!I had to get consumer protection involved and also my bank. And it still an ongoing matter....nearly 3 months later!

Do not purchase a gate from this company, you will regret it!Like we are now..We paid top dollar for a gate that continuously beaks down since new, and now doesn’t work , and they refuse to fix it….We purchased an automatic gate 2 years ago and have had over 5 call outs with break downs!They have replaced faulty parts but now they say it’s out of warranty and we have to pay to get them to get it working …. Will be taking them to court as the product has been a problem from the start.I would not have gone to them if I knew how bad their customer service was……
