Ordered onion rings and the holy smoke nachos. Waited over 30mins for my food. Onion rings were nice and crunchy, and the nachos looked good. However, there were only a few tiny pieces of brisket in the nachos, with the majority of topping being kidney beans. $24 for corn chips, beans and cheese is a bit disappointing. With brisket being listed as a key ingredient, it would be nice to have more than half a mouthful of it. Not sure I'll be back.

The food was amazing and the staff are so friendly and polite. We got the signature brisket burger and mac n cheese. The meat was tender and delicious. Highly recommend! 10/10

Holy Smoke Gourmet House Ferntree Gully
Just had a delicious meal and was impressed with the quality of the food and the friendly service. Loaded fries were delicious and generously portioned, the chicken wings were very crispy and the ribs were excellent and not overwhelmed by sauce as I’ve experienced in other restaurants. I’ll definitely be back! Comfortable atmosphere and I like the decor.

Loved it!! My partner & I just went after wanting to for so long, and it did not disappoint. We shared the platter for 2 and it was plenty of food. We are both big eaters, and still had some left to take home. I couldn’t even pick the brisket up with my fork it was so tender with a beautiful bark and fat rendered perfectly, the crust on the chicken (and the chicken itself) was sensational, the Mac and cheese was perfect, the sausage was deliciously spicy, the pulled pork was flavoursome and tender, I quite enjoyed my first ever try of cornbread, I don’t usually like coleslaw, but I thoroughly enjoyed that one, and the chilli beans were also really nice.Will (the owner) came over for a chat and the amount of time and effort he puts into smoking all the meat is unreal. Really lovely guy! Can’t wait to go back!!

When you look at the menu here, so many items are built around the iconic cornerstone: beautifully smoked brisket. From the signature brisket burger, to an awesome nachos platter with the brisket stepping up in place of salsa, this is a slow cooked meat lover's heaven. The family platters are incredible value. A platter for two at another table was easily mistaken by onlookers as the platter for four. With a variety of meats, sides and condiments all in one huge tray. My sons and I sat down and enthusiastically devoured food fit for a king. We'll be back!

I gave this a chance after ownership of the business changed hands. The ribs were ok but certainly don't live up to the expectations of an American smokey bbq joint. The sides were a real disappointment. The fries were soggy and the onion rings were chewy. The Mac and Cheese wasn't anything special - You'd get the same quality out of a Kraft box. For $80 we got stuff that a second rate chicken shop could deliver better. Looks like the new owners have offered the same menu but clearly don't have the ability to deliver on the style of cooking. There are better options in the area.

Never ordering here again! The slow cooked brisket is so tiny and so dry. Does not look or taste slow cooked. The brisket burger is the same. No sauce and the brisket is so dry. We’ve all had to get something else for dinner as the food is not edible. The only thing that was decent to eat was the corn bread and chips.

A great gem in Ferntree Gully. We visited as tourists and had a great meal. The burgers are a very generous size and were delicious. We spoke with the owner and his passion for smoking meats was very evident. He showed us his smoker at the back of the shop and talked us through the different woodchips he uses. A great guy!I had the buttermilk chicken burger and my husband had the brisket burger which we both highly recommend.
