Granite Gorge Nature Park
Superb setting.Fascinated by the hollow sounding boulders.Would like to see non native pink flowering plants removed from site asap before they spread. Was dismayed to see caged animals in reception, especially the cockatoos. No need. However, the water was delicious, so cool for swimming. Bird life abundant. The campsite looked very natural with plenty of water views

Lots of wonderful animals and bursting bushland to see fantastic views from the rocks paths are unique to say the least they are for the adventurous type not a easy walk. Not suitable for people with disabilities or have trouble climbing. Family fun for camping and other animals to enjoy and feed the wallabies full facilities available, for day trips or camping trips.

The rocks and boulders and general area, beautiful and worth a look. It's well marked trail, wallabies bit is fun. What was less savoury were the caged birds and animals. All seemed too small too cramped no heat lamps for reptiles, water or climbing options for lizards.Caged birds always a tough one for our family. Lovely to see them but is a small cage the best way to live for an animal that flies hundreds of miles?Clearly the place has to pass QLD inspection (although displayed license is out of date), so we might assume these cages meet standards, but my kids were not impressed.

the woman there was incredibly rude she ignored us when we went to buy ice-cream but other than that the cabin's were nice we set up light's. On the cabin edge's an the children loved it and my hubby came up for a day and got tone's of fire wood got a thick wooden stick. and tied it onto the rope swing to make it kid. Hight the children loved it we had a fire an we had cabin neighbors they had marshmallow's it then we chuck the fire dust we had great time.

We enjoyed a great Sunday morning here. An easy drive from Cairns. We were by the delightful and cheerful Wilma, who explained the walking pathways and everything we needed to know about safety prior to our walk.Rock Wallabies are such endearing little creatures, they’re happily eating treats from your hand (wonderful photo ops) & we did also see a few resting or rock hopping whilst on the walk trail. Loads of bird life, clean swimming areas, clean amenities and helpful staff. We took the yellow trail.Highly recommend.

So cute nsw very nice creatures. Just be aware to lower your hand otherwise they would try to scratch your hand to get food, it would be hurt due to sharp toe nails

Lovely, family friendly camping spot! Plenty of space to set up so you don’t feel to close to other camp sites. They have powered and unpowered sites, as well as clean bathroom facilities. The nature park is about a 15 minute drive from Mareeba. This was super helpful when we realised we had forgotten stuff for dinner…There are several walking paths to go on and lots to see here. High recommend coming up for a weekend and exploring what this place has to offer.

With a child in a wheelchair and walker we were apprehensive about our camping trip but it was incredible! We fished, played games, explored the park, enjoyed a fire, great access to amenities and with time and a little perserverence he walked supported down to the feeding rocks and carried back up. The camp area was spotless and importantly for us, nice and flat ground in most areas for both wheelchair and walking frame. What a truly magical place to stay and we can't wait to return
