Ryelands Farm Stay And Retreat
We have stayed here numerous times and the peace and quiet is unreal. The rates are very affordable. Complete and clean facilities; power, toilet, shower, kitchen with fridge and oven, bbq area. They have TV and table tennis for entertainment. The campground has a big area for the kids to explore and run around. On top of that, the hosts/owners are very nice and lovely. We will definitely be back here. 10 stars from my family and I. Perfect for families who wants to go away camping without roughing it just to make the experience more enjoyable.

Pet friendly powered + water sites. Quiet walks up the rolling pastures to see amazing sunsets. We were lucky to have camp ground to ourselves for 2 nights. Peter & Sue are very friendly & welcoming. New years day they shared some freshly baked scones & jam with us campers. An excellent find

Very relaxing, easy going but welcoming hosts. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our dog had the freedom to move and make friends with Wally, the farm dog.Campfire was great for cooking dinner - all wood supplied.Shearing shed amenities added the real country experience to our 4 night stay.

Such a STUNNING location!! I was blown away by the rolling hills and countryside here. Fred the Kelpie Dog was just GORGEOUS! Wanted to adopt him and take him home! Haha My dogs loved having a run around off lead and a romp with Fred in the first two days we had the place to ourselves. The shearing sheds were super cool - still in use on a working sheep farm. Such a unique space to hang out in front of the fire. There are plenty of kitchen utensils and pots etc to use for cooking and some fun games and activities as well as a TV.The downside we found was the accommodation isn't ideal for sharing with other groups. Only one shower and toilet and the shower has limited hot water which you need to wait 15mins for to reheat. Easy to be patient (or skip a shower) when two of you but when a family of 5 moved in it wasn't so fun. Our peaceful two nights of wine by the fire and dogs off lead turned to dogs being chained up and kids running round screaming and kids only TV...basically we avoided the shed after that Also hard to keep clean and hygienic when sharing . There was a mop left out but no disinfectant or anything for in between cleans.Hosts were lovely. Peter especially was super friendly and good to chat to.We had booked for 6 nights but bailed after 3 after finding out three more couples/groups were arriving. Would have made for quite an unpleasant stay if we weren't all on the same wavelength and trying to share the single bathroom.Ideal place to stay WITH groups/people you know if you book all six sites. Not so great to rock up and gamble on as a quiet venue if just a couple.

Sue and Pete are amazing hosts we were lucky enough to have the camping area and shearers shed to ourselves. The property is in a convenient location for the Clare Valley vineyards. Best farmstay in south australia

1 million stars for this camp ground! Sue and Peter have welcomed us warmly on their property where you have comfortable powered sites and water. The view on the country side is charming.Sheep and chooks. And my favourite part the camp kitchen in the sheerer’s shed. Warm smell of the previous sheering session, some wool on the floor, games for the kids (we actually all played!). An improvised clanky table tennis table for the best fun!Peter spent some time to explain our kids the sheering process. That’s exactly what we want whilst doing our big lap: authenticity, simplicity, kindness and fun.Feeling exhilarated !
