Victoria Square Footscray

Our apartment in VS02 settled in Apr. We are very pleased with the quality vs the price point. The cabinet work is especially above our expectation. If you are still considering colour scheme, highly recommend light. Quality brand appliance provided too. Of course there are minor defects that needs to be attended to, but the defect inspector I spoke to today was very friendly and attentive. Overall the build is solid in our opinion. For this price you will only get a studio in similar proximity in Sydney.Regarding blinds, we just had ours installed and we highly recommend going for a bespoke installer. We used Blinds Concept in Bayswater VIC and although they are more expensive than the flat out quote provided by Decorlux - developer appointed installer, the service, professionalism, more quantity of blinds installed and quality finish is unmatched. They recommend I install individual panels and inset into the window frame, it looks so much better. Also installed shade and blockout blinds in the living room. They brought along alot of samples and I'm very happy with my choice, received compliments from people who visited my apartment :)! So happy want to give them a shout out here. Attached some photos. They have their own factory to turnaround time was faster compared to few other installer I spoke with.Blinds is such an important feature of the space, I would not cheap out. Its liking being stuck with a bad hair.Overall we were a bit scared how this investment will turn out given COVID-19 but considering the challenges the builder had to face we are glad they didn't rush the job and end in tragedy for everyone. The fact there are delays its also a sign they are not just putting up a cheap build. Another defective building report on the news tonight in Sydney, you rather have a quality build vs rushing right? Food for thought :) Of course moving in is also an exciting moment to look forward to...

We purchased our apartment at Vic Sq off the plan a number of years ago, and it has far exceeded our expectations. The convenience of having an in-house gym, pool, function room and sky garden (that we don't need to spend our weekends maintaining!) has meant we have so much more time to enjoy our lives and explore all of the wonderful offerings of Footscray. Of course there have been teething problems, but all issues have been promptly and efficiently addressed by our brilliant Building Manager, his team and the builders. We have quickly made friends with our neighbours, and feel like we are a part of a great community. Apartment living is new to us, but we love it!

We have been residents of VS-04 for 12 months and have no reason at all to regret moving to Victoria Square.There was little fuss involved in settling in. There were a couple of minor things within the apartment that needed attention. They were rectified quickly once we mentioned them to the building manager who, in turn, immediately requested the builder to attend to them, which he did.We have found the facilities available to residents a pleasure to use. The pool, the gym, the BBQ area - all were in excellent condition when we have used them. Their cleanliness and presentation encourages you to feel comfortable when using them. I guess this comes down to the management, particularly the Building Team.We have found Michael and his team always approachable, always prepared to listen, always straight forward, always accommodating. I get the impression that if there is a reasonable complaint to be made, then the building team is a good place to start. I do stress the word 'reasonable'We have had really nothing to complain about in the past 12 months anddo not see why that will not be the case in the future.

An apartment with a step above Architecture that will steal the spotlight in the area. It has quality to be a landmark addition to the great suburb of Footscray. Extensive amenities are a great addition built in the building, it includes pool, beautiful two story function room, gym, game room, cinema room, sky garden and private sky running track to top it off.After living in it for about a year, commendation must be given to the building management team. They are very helpful with the transition within development phases, new building teething issues and also residential issues. Having concierge to contact and look after the building until late is a definite plus. We have the joy of meeting nice and lovely neighbours since the move in.A definite enjoyment for us living in a great building so close to the city and all the great offerings Footscray have to offer.

Think few times before buying there, I there are a lot of issues, defects, on top of that now they are renting houses for DHSS that will drive prices down hugely in future. There are so many apartments in the area that is not helping anyone either as stock is so big, resting or leasing even harder.Last few months , DHSS apartments sprinklers going of as they experiment with fire (Smoking etc) God who knows, Water dripping all the way down often, huge damages most apartments. If you don't wanna in trouble please stay away, Growland and all other stakeholder just cashing in. No empathy for buyers.Here is the list:1. Frequent robberies of storage cages also some vehicles gone missing. Bicycles going missing is just so simple no one even care anymore.2. Hosting residents that are not suitable to live in apartments, violence, threat, damages to common areas, also other apartments that people spent money to purchase by these residents mainly assigned to live here by DHSS.3. Misleading sales pitch. Don't get caught by it, ask all questions including government housing and security if you planning to buy one here.4. Body Corp owners meetings never heard of, Never had one almost 1 year.5. Visitor parking never existing as most of tenants using them and building management has not fixed this ongoing issue yet.6. Amount of fire evacuations are never heard of anywhere else in similar setup, every month 2-3 time evacuation most of them due to false alarm or tenants misbehavior.7. Bad tenants fighting each other, stabbing , broken arms, police visits are quite normal.8. Cars broken in multiple times.There are positives too,1. Great location.2. Great city views.3. Some of people who live in are great neighbours.4. Good facilities such as pool, gym,etc.There are many owners that might try to put positive spin as they are worried about apartment prices etc, but this is a honest feedback from me.

I just rented an apartment recently in this building and I must say that I'm impressed with how everthing is thoughtfully designed from the blinds, fridge storage to the laundry. My building is lucky enough to have a building manager and concierge and they practically handle everything that's happening in the building. Michael, Vincent and Dylan were very helpful and made my moving process easy and seamless - and I love how the management makes them always available to reach out.

We moved into our apartment 12 months ago. We are delighted with our apartment and location. The architecture is above your standard building. Initially there were so teething problems which we expected with a new development, however the building team and developer were very responsive and defect action was taken. The facilities are amazing including our 22 metre pool,gym, games and function rooms. The transition for home to apartment living has been made easier with the assistance of our building manager and his team. He is very knowledgeable caring and responsive. We have met incredible neighbours and formed a friendly community.

Vic Sq offers a good entry point for owners. You can get a 2 bed here for a much cheaper price than surrounding suburbs. And you’re right on the river, 5km from the city.Most apartments have study areas for the WFH people and the bathrooms and kitchens are really functionally built.The shared spaces are pretty good too, although a better booking system would go a long way. The pool and gym are spacious beyond what most competitor buildings would offer.Building management is super helpful and always attentive so special shout out to Mike and his Team.

purchased an apartment off the plan in VS02 in June 2020. Settlement was supposed to be November, but due to the lengthy lockdown in Victoria, I was told it would be delayed until Jan/Feb 2021. Bank valuations took place in February. Then told pre-settlement inspections were to take place in February, which didn't eventuate. Then told March 2021, then April 2021. Since found out through a construction worker that they're nowhere near ready and looking at November 2021. I've read some other reviews with completion dates in 2024!!!!

Vic Square , affordable spacious apartment living in sort after location. I’m really pleased with the design, clean lines & well use of the spaces.Common areas,; gym, pool , cinema room, function room and running track. Much more than some surrounding apartment blocks offer.We are fortunate that our building management are amazing, really helpful with any issues and good for a chat.With any new build there are teething problems, they have been addressed & rectified.Vic Square has really started to become a community of its own. Friendships are being formed & people look out for each other.Why wouldn’t you want to live with everything you need at your doorstep; mouth watering restaurants, beautiful parks & gardens, public transport, schools & an excellent coffee shop!
