Breakfast by the pond/lake in the morning, having the big breakfast after a big vinos day the day before is a must.A bit cold, wishing there were outdoor heating so do dress up more as it can be windy/nippy.

Such a fantastic experience. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast with such a vast and original menu that we struggled on choice. The 4 of us all chose something different and every dish was amazing. Fresh produce and flavoursome.The service was polite and friendly and very helpful.The atmosphere was pure bliss. Set by a lake with a fountain spitting out a soundtrack of calm in what is also a refreshing environment.Take the opportunity to visit George and Dora (the local pigs) and the nearby ponies as well.The coffee was a smooth brew also which was exactly what was needed so early in the morning.I suggest you book as this place is VERY busy

Expectation plays a big part in the experience that you have of a restaurant. I always envisage food with no pretense when I think of Tapas, I also think of a pretty casual and carefree affair. I also think Spanish when I think of Tapas and so you could imagine my disappointment when encountering major Asian fusion influence, rather than Spanish fare.Alas, there was enough on the menu to entice us, but I think the restaurant has no place calling itself a tapas restaurant nor tapas style. The menu recommended 4-6 dishes for a party of four and so we ordered six dishes. Had we known that there was nothing tapas about the portion sizes, we would have ordered less as I really hate food wastage. I would recommend 4 dishes for a party of 4, and infact, if you look at the pictures, aside from the oysters, each could be eaten individually as a main for each person.I would recommend the restaurant scale back on portion size, make things proportionately cheaper and provide a few more options. Tapas should be fun, and it would be a great way to showcase produce with things as simple as olives being able to be ordered as a tapas dish.Overall not horrible, just not what I was expecting.

This popular and busy Cafe has a very nice atmosphere and visually pleasing. Chairs are comfortable and the service team are really attentive.Only thing is, the food is underwhelming.It was served cold and lacked flavour.The big" breakfast is medium sized.The Roasted Salmon meh.Maybe the kitchen were having an off day but I won't be back."

Lovely restaurant by a pond that is both romantic and suitable for families. Food available in Tapas style. Pricing are in 2s or 4s but they will also charge accordingly per pax if you are of group of 3 or 5. We ordered the braised duck with green tea noodle (good), seared scallops (fantastic), blue eye cod (tasty), wild mushroom (yummy) and asian pork belly spring roll (average). Also got a wine that pairs with the food well. The environment is good. There isn't a lot of people when I was there. Its quiet, get to take some nice photo and the food is served quite promptly. Beside the carpark, there are some farm animals like sheep, llamas and ponies. Kids will love it

Stunning lakefront setting with all tables having a beautiful view of the lake and surrounds. We got takeaway coffees, which did take a while but didn't mind so much due to the view.

Great location and awesome potential. Unfortunately, our food was dry and tasteless. I feel they have succumb to quantity over quality. Get em in and get em out.Service was a bit off hand. All could be forgiven if only the food was palatable.

The Deck Cafe Lovedale
I love this place for so many reasons from the wonderful service, the scenery, the food and the all round good vibes. We came here for breakfast and weren't disappointed! A shout out to the staff who managed to get us a table (I highly recommend having a renovation as I think we just lucked out!) We opted to sit out of the sun and in a quiet spot rather than on the deck along the water. My fella got the hangover roll and I the Avocado vego delight which was so bloody delightful I ate it rather quickly. It had generous serving of avocado, beetroot relish and succulent mushrooms. The hangover roll was equally as tasty as it disappeared as quick as it was put on our table. Big shout out to the barista for the cute coffee art. Put this one your foodie bucket list as it's a wonderful place to relax and have a meal.
