My wife and I went there for dinner recently. She ordered a Katsu Pork Rice and I had a Bulgogi Beef Sushi Roll and a Chicken TeriyakiAll of it tasted pretty good. The place was pretty busy and we had to wait a bit

A lovely Japanese sushi place at Beaufort Street, Mount Lawley. The shop is at the corner of a lane, a bit tricky to find the place.I ordered the grilled salmon sushi which is good. Overall the taste is good and price us reasonable. Customers can create their own sushi which is a great idea. The staff are friendly and service is fast. The restaurant has an unique Japanese cartoon decoration. Tables and chairs seem to be around for quite some time.

despite rice was too soft for sushi (a bit overcooked rice) and size of slice was too big tofor one bite. the roll itself was not hold well to keep the shap in end pieces. overall taste was good and very filling. We had prawn katu roll small , softshell crab roll large and tuna&samon sashimi roll large. it was well enough for 2people. Service was quick also.

We tried the spicy shrooms and cheesy potato and both were delish. I haven't had potato salad in sushi before and it was great! Very yum indeed. :)The staff were smiley and friendly and the place was clean and retro. Little bag hooks on the sides of the table are a cool idea. There are no toilets in the restaurant but just around the corner 5metres away are 2 toilets :)

Good little B.Y.O spot, menu offers something different than your usual Japanese sushi places. Prices are good too. Will be back.

I have to say I am a little bit disappoint with the quality of the food, with these premium price. The sushi is too big for one while bite, so you have to eat two or three bites. End up the taste is wierd and the sushi fall apart. No wasabi provided on the table, you have to go and ask from counter, and it came as those packaging wasabi you get from like those sushi franchise. No customer service but I am not fussy with that.Pork katsu don, the quality of meat is below par.Japanese croquettes, the potatos are still too big chuck.

Some of the best sushi i have had. They catered for my gluten free request. They only had 3 options on the menu but created a gluten free tempura crab, it was crispy and tasted amazing. Definitely recommend. Pretty filling as the sushi itself is quite large.

Doesn’t look very clean. We ordered a salmon sashimi, and there was a small live cockroach under sashimi when we finished. The waitress didn’t say anything, and just took the plate away immediately. Strongly don’t recommend this place.

Went for dinner and the service was poor. Went in and wasn't greeted. We went up to the counter to order food and the lady at the counter wasn't concentrating and was doing other things while taking our order making us repeat to her what we wanted. We repeated what we wanted wanted a few times until she got the order correct. Table we sat on had a cockroach crawling across. We ordered the salad bowl with fresh salmon and the salmon wasn't even fresh. We also had the spider roll and it completely tasted like the ocean. The crab inside was not fresh and had a really bad fishy taste to it. Definitely not the same standard as what it was originally (Mr Munchies). Will not return.
