We met with Alix for a 2 hour design review appointment to help us lock in some choices for our new house. Designing a new home is so overwhelming and the number of decisions to make can be really draining. I’m so glad we met with Alix, she was so approachable and easy to chat to. We came out feeling empowered to lock in our choices and even make some really bold ones for our powder room. She has a wealth of knowledge/ideas/contacts and suggested some great options where we were stuck. I would highly recommend this service if you’re after some guidance and a confidence boost to get you moving into the space of your dreams!

We used Alix Helps Interiors when we were renovating our home. Alix and her team were nothing short of miracle workers. From the very first visit, where we talked about how we wanted to feel in our house, to drawings and renders, and material selection - Alix was exceptional. When I first entered my townhouse it was nice but only felt like a house. It did not give me a sense of comfort or warmth. With Alix’s help, it is now a home, a place which I enjoy very much and feel very comfortable. From my very first meeting with Alix, through to completion, I was impressed with her enthusiasm, sense of style and commitment to detail. She carefully took on board my comments and added her own (very valuable) suggestions and was able to put together a very lovely design brief. She then supervised the project to completion ensuring that the design met the brief, all work was completed in a timely manner and even added styling hints/tips along the way. Nothing appeared too hard. The final design was beyond my expectations and I admit that I do not think I could have achieved the final lovely home look without Alix. My husband and I designed and built our 'forever home' - it is a beautiful home and we love it. We moved in with the kids and old furniture and felt our home wasn't quite complete. Four years on and the time finally came to remedy this. We were happy with the foundations - the bones and layout are great and many design decisions along the way we knew worked well. The question was, how do we finish? Deciding on the furnishings was an enormous and almost overwhelming task. We needed help to pull it together - that confidence boost and sounding board that ensured money spent on colours, textures & furnishing was indeed money well spent. We met with Alix and decided to complete four rooms - formal lounge, family room, dining and study. Alix made this seemingly daunting process a simple one. The service came with detailed design boards so we could conceptualise the rooms - thankfully, Alix created many to cater for our numerous indecisions! Once we settled on the design, Alix assisted with bringing the board to life - sourcing selections, colour pallets, suppliers and offering that wonderful thing called designer wholesale discount! The service Alix provided helped us complete our home and turn this beautiful carcass into a family-friendly, comfortable and welcoming environment...the kids are still the same...

Having been down this road several years earlier with disastrous results we were extremely hesitant to consider hiring another interior designer. However this time we certainly went into it with our eyes wide open and some very firm ideas of exactly what we were after. We talked to a number of designers before we met Alix and once we discussed the project we loved the way she embraced our ideas and at the same time provided her experienced perspective while never trying to change our minds. We knew immediately we had found the right designer for us. Collaborative, caring, understanding, transparent and above all flexible. We were working to a tight deadline which Alix understood and ultimately delivered on. At one point the house resembled the Block TV show, with the large number of trades on site at the same time but Alix took it all in her stride, removed any stress and anxiety we could easily have felt and just made it work. Over the course of the project Alix became an extended member of the family, upbeat and positive and always ready to listen to our next curve ball idea. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Alix to anyone looking for an experienced designer who is highly capable, a good communicator, caring, professional and also comes with a great sense of humour.

I found Alix really great to work with. I just needed some new couches, cushions and artwork for my lounge. It was great knowing that Alix could help with just these few things, as I didnt want an entire makeover at that time. The selections of artwork were great, and I found just the ones that I loved, as well as the perfect couches for my family. Thanks Alix!
