My oldest son completed Year 12 in 2013 with great results. My other two children are still attending MECS and they are in Middle School. The school has a beautiful nurturing Christian environment and the teachers are wonderful, friendly and approachable. Each child is recognised for his/her uniqueness and gifting. My children love going to school! I highly recommend Mount Evelyn Christian School.

I am forever thankful for the fact that my children both attend MECS! Since they started in preps I have found that they have thrived in this school environment. I know that they are nurtured, cared for and encouraged, I know that I as a parent am treated with respect, inclusion and care. The whole school environment is so fabulous and I could never conceive of my children completing their education anywhere else! (1 child in middle primary and 1 child in senior primary.)

Let me start by saying, no school is perfect, no teacher is perfect but perfection is not what I looked for in your school search. I look for my child being 'seen', nurtured and encouraged to be the best version of themselves. I have discovered this in bucket-loads at MECS.I work in the state school system (and no, I DON'T work for MECS) - high school & primary - and both my 2 kids that have attended both state schools and MECs, with one child completing VCE in a state school and other currently completing at MECS.My children have been totally 'lost' in the sea of masses in state schools yet valued and respected in MECS, especially in the senior year levels.Just as in every school parental engagement and communication is paramount so the amount you are willing to invest in your child's education will always be of value no matter the school but at MECS I'm assured of the fact that staff know who I am, they actually know who my child is and they quickly support us as needed.Maybe not perfect but at least there's always a conversation going, besides both my kids have loved attending and that's pretty much perfection right there!

A school with such support and dedication to their students. I have two children attending MECS, one in primary and one in middle school. The teachers here go above and beyond for my children. I highly recommend this nurturing school.

This school is the biggest joke. Heaps of people are leaving(including teachers) because the highschool is so poor and what dose mecs do? Waste all of their money on useless buildings, sports programs and the primary school. They had to cut so many programs and lots of teachers are being underpaid. Now let's go through some more reasons why this school is so poor.1. You get more help in a public school then this joke. it's almost like none of the teachers care. They just sit on their computers and Don't notice until they look up and see a hand that's probably been up for 10 minutes. Whilst at a public school the teacher is always checking.2. their punnushments are perthetic the kids can get away with pretty much anything. All that the punishments are, are picking up rubbish and sitting in a classroom. No one takes them seriously. You could break all of the school equipment and I reckon the school would only give you a warning.3. Some of the teachers they put on a certain subject aren't even qualified to teach that subject Eg: they made an art teacher teach maths. The art teacher didn't even know what she was doing.4. if your child has special needs as soon as they meet mecs's Ed support teacher they're already screwed. The Ed support teacher will not listen and thinks it's a good idea to let everyone know your child has problems. so basically your child is wondering around with a sign saying hey I've got problems bully me

Great christian education without the stifling religious dogma. All religions encouraged and accepted with open discussion and respect for all viewpoints. You just don't get that in most religious schools.I was sent after relentless bullying at my previous school, and walking into MECS was like coming home. I laways felt I belonged, and any minor bullying that did occur when I was there was swiftly dealt with. Enough kids for everyone to have friends. I graduated in 2002 and will consider sending my son here.

Beyond abysmal. Everything starts from the top, has been a traumatic experience to see how little care is placed on the children's education and how selfish management is.Lots of back patting and self glorification. Every decent teacher seems to leave, family and friends being given jobs instead of the best candidate (everyone related to or a friend of someone), extremely left leaning management and failures during Covid due to laziness by some teachers having real world impact on students academic well-being.

Very proud to have been a part of this wonderful school community for 11 years and still counting. Parent partnership with good communication, caring environment, inclusiveness and different opportunities to learn just a few of their strong points. It has played major roles in shaping and maturing our kids - 2 finished and 1 still there.

We made the change to MECS when my daughter was in Grade One, having moved from a state school that we were very happy with. The transition to MECS was smooth and we felt very supported and nurtured. My daughter is now in Grade Five and we have a son in Grade One. All schools have their minor issues, but on the whole, MECS is the perfect school for us: in our experience we have found the teachers to be committed and competent; we have always been encouraged by the staff to approach them with any difficulties or concerns and when we have, we found the response to be prompt and the concerns taken seriously. I love the community environment that MECS offers; we find that the culture at MECS is warm, approachable, encouraging and committed to the whole identity of the child, and not solely the academic needs. We are very satisfied with what we have experienced.

No school is perfect. However....I have many complaints about this school. Firstly once I had left this school I moved to the brokest public school in our area. I found that I was supported better, was genuinely cared for and was properly looked after. As well as this a couple weeks before I left this school I opened up to a teacher about dropping out. This teacher then got extremely upset and started crying about how I am wasted potential. Well I hope that teacher reads this because I'm currently on the same wage as her boom! And my third and final complaint is how they had no control over any students actions. If a fight was to happen who cares let it be. If someone was pinned back by 4 older students and punched they wouldn't care.
