Glenlyon Recreation Reserve
Nice place for a picnic. Plenty of shade, public toilets. A good playground for the kids as well, which is fenced.

A large open space made this a great overnight stop for our motorhome. Toilets and tap water available. There's a spring water supply in the neighbouring picnic Reserve. As this is a pony club site check for Event days to avoid lots of horse floats.

Well worth stopping here just to taste the mineral water! Unlike many mineral springs in the area, this has a pleasant, refreshing taste. If you have more time to investigate, look for the walking trail (Glenlyon Biolink Walk) by the tiny Loddon River. Though indistinct in parts due to fallen debris and overgrowth, the path is marked with signs showing historical activity at numerous points. The trail leads towards the high road bridge on the Malmsbury Road C316, just down hill from the General Store. However, there is currently no direct exit up and onto the bridge from below. You will need to retrace your steps to a point where the track turns left up hill, where it (as Loddon Drive) joins the Malmsbury Road about 100 meters on the far side of the bridge. Walk down to the bridge taking in the information board and continue up the hill to the General Store.

Fantastic little grassy hidden away gem, able to get natural mineral water directly from the spring and if you're lucky you may see some ponies running around the track, lots of kangaroos in the early evening

Camped over night and the kids were able to ride their bikes safely around the race track. Lovely locals walking through cheers the kids on.Only improvement would be showers but still excellent peaceful place for one night away from the city.

Glenlyon Recreation Reserve
A nice and quit place just for camping. It costs nothing. There are toilets, a waterplace with healthy water from the groundwater and a shelter to make coffee and so on.

Great place for a picnic fenced playground walking distance to a mineral spring and much quieter than Daylesford
