This is a great little local cafe find for us, we’ve been a few times. Have mostly encountered friendly and welcoming service, though once we had a displeased-looking server. The food is generous and the price is what you would generally expect. The carter double is very filling, though the patties were a bit overcooked. Sweet potato chips are nicely fried. The parmigiana was an elevated version of what you’d find in a pub. In the past I’ve had the breakfast board which was excellent and I’d recommend that.

Was craving a big breakfast after finishing night shift and decided to give this place a go. The food was so nice that we placed a second order straight away as we couldnt get enough of the buttermilk pancakes and bacon. The eggs were also cooked to perfection and the choc milkshake was decadent. Really do love the idea of using empty milk cartons as cupholders as well!

Tried this cafe recently and were pleasantly surprised with the great quality of the food. We returned and ordered the same food last weekend, the quality was consistent and the food delicious. We've been to many places in the food quality is hit-and-miss, Carter & G's delivers clean, great tasting food and a friendly atmosphere. We will be back to continue supporting this local business.

Saturday around 10.30 am didn't have to wait too long for food to come out. all looks so delish and filling. small but roomy inside. staff are very friendly and patient. child friendly also. large all day brekkie menu. don't recommend the juice it's bottles not fresh

Always a pleasing experience when I eat here. Staff are friendly, polite and courteous. Food comes out quick, tasty and decently portioned. Have so many fave dishes I wouldn't know which to pick.

Great discovery. Breakfast was awesome. Coffee was good too. Will definitely come back to try other dishes. Staff was polite and didn't take long to serve the food. Prices are fair. Would recommend.

Favourite coffee shop & restaurant in the area. Staff are awesome and always friendly. Food and coffee is out of this world - honestly not had a bad coffee yet and my new favourite the oatmilk latte was ridiculously smooth. Unfortunately I have not taken alot of pictures here but we now have this penciled in at least once a week because the coffee and food is so good.Personal recommendations would be the Mrs Carter's Share platter, the corn fritters are exceptional, the pancakes as shown in the photos or the acai bowl! Don't even get me started on the burgers just enjoy.

How can a small cafe that employs 5 girls at the front get everything so wrong?Today my girlfriend and I attended this establishment expecting a good meal and good experience. However, what we got was very lacklustre and we will not be coming back again.First of all, we noticed how overstaffed the cafe was - 5 girls to run the front of a pretty small cafe, so we were expecting strong and attentive service. A girl came up to us and took our order on her phone, and then right after, proceeded to take the order of the table next to us.We then waited a long time for our meal to come. We noticed one of the dishes from the table next to us came out (the same burger we ordered), we assumed it was because my girlfriend ordered an oven baked dish so they wanted to give them to us at the same time. My girlfriend's dish came out (which was not very good and lacked flavour); however, we were still missing my meal. The two people on the table next to us asked us what our order was, and it was only then that we realised that our food was incorrectly delivered to the wrong table a long time ago. That was also the moment that the 5 girls realised their mistake when they were holding two OTHER burgers for the same table (the correct order). One of the girls then proceeded to take the wrong burger off their table (our burger) and take it back to the kitchen, and after about 5 mins, came to our table and said our burger would be ready soon. This meant that I didn't get my food for 30 mins since I ordered due to their incompetence. When we finally got our burger, there was no flavour at all in the burger - literally the pickles had more flavour than the entire burger.The cherry on top was my girlfriend also ordering a matcha frappe (which alone was super thick, almost undrinkable), and wanting to get it takeaway. She went up to the front counter and the girl proceeded to give her a takeaway cup and expected my girlfriend to pour her matcha frappe herself. This alone shows poor customer service and laziness.They do not care about your dining experience and customer service, and don't care if they have a returning customer or not. Throughout our entire lunch, the staff seemed to only be concerned about chatting amongst themselves or to tables with their friends.It's okay if the food doesn't taste great (everyone's entitled to their own opinion), but the poor customer service is unacceptable.Overall, this was an extremely poor customer service experience, the food is extremely lacklustre, and we will not be coming back here.
