Seafood Paradise

Very expensive. I bought Aussie made banana prawns for $36 p/kg at Vic market vs $59 p/kg here. Need to check your pricing and be fair to locals.

The food at Seafood Paradise far exceeded my expectations. Generally, I do not leave reviews - but they truly deserve this 5 stars.Out of the hundreds seafood shops I've been to in Melbourne, Seafood paradise is by far the greatest.

I was selecting two freshly cooked fish pieces from their hot servery and noticed that one of the two pieces available to buy was about half the size of the other piece I wanted. I told the woman serving me that the smaller piece should not be priced the same as the larger piece. She dismissed my suggestion and told me someone else will buy it anyway. She wrapped up the larger piece for me and pushed me for payment rather than listen to my reason that it was unfair to any customer to pay the full cost of a piece that was half the size of another piece. She was not interested. I asked to speak to the manager. She said she was the manager. I asked to speak to the business owner. She said she was the business owner. She was not prepared to be flexible, and was rude in her dismissal of me and her encouragement of me to pay and go. So I gave up, and paid for the single piece I had selected. I told her she was not running a fair business. I later lodged a complaint with the management at Barkly Centre centre. I have shopped at the Seafood Paradise for decades, with no problem at all. I will continue to do so, but will not be served by her, and I will continue to request flexible pricing if I see a large difference between pieces of hot fish. The single star is because the quality of the fish was great. The service was appalling. She gives a bad name to the shop, and lets down the other staff who are always courteous.

Fish is already expensive .. more than any other shop. And on top of that they charge extra for using visa/master card. That's so dodgy

Lot of seafood variety to choose from. Cooked food is not that great and best can be referred as average. There's a young indian girl on cash counter who's extremely arrogant and disrespectful towards elderly people.

Here are some important lessons for you:1: Its a hotdog, not a sausage. Telling people it's a sausage and then when they bite into it, it's a hotdog only makes people want to take the fire hose to your shop.2: It's meant to be lightly battered fish, not slightly fishy batter. That was more batter than fish.3: Potato cakes are meant to be cooked.

Good morning, I always walk past and think of the stories.m ... The fish, the men, the Red Diesel, or marine diesel, cheap Diesel..I always check for Swordfish, which some days the get in.. I never buy any of course, for Swordfish is the charismatic Prince of the Sea.. tastes like the best chicken you've ever had

My favorite potato cakes in the hot bar!!!! They are nice golden brown and crunchy and the Greek lady is my favorite staff member! My friend has bought his seafood from there for years and years. A great place.

Few times I have been so well served ! The lady that took our order could not be any nicer. First of all a great idea for a shop that probably used to only sell fresh fish now having an area to serve the most delicious fish and chips. Everything was fresh and delicious. Very good grilled and fried fish (we had both), good portions, freshness and the best customer service.The shopping itself has a big carpark at the back (entrance through the side street) and the only ting that is needing is a proper food court, but the food sold there is very good. Very good option if you are in Sydney Road.

Excellent fish burger (the soft fish type, I think it's sea perch). I'm guessing it's the most underrated burger in Melbourne. It is SO GOOD, my wife and I actually get one each almost every week. Great price too.
