Really awesome experience! My hair was cut perfectly, and for a great price. The barber was very intelligent and insightful - normally I’m not a fan of chit chat but we had a great conversation. Definitely recommend!

After weeks of being stuck at home after surgery, my hair was scruffy, and my beard was worse. I didn't quite look like the Unabomber, but I was on the way there. I tried some other barbershops in Strathpine and Petrie, but it was difficult to fit my work hours and their opening hours together. But yesterday during my lunchbreak, I stopped into Ironside as I'd also been wanting to check out the music store next door.I didn't get old mate's name but I asked for a cut and a shave, and he said he didn't do shaves, but I opted for a cut anyway.He did a very good job, and even without the shave, had me looking respectable, almost like a schoolteacher.But even though he doesn't have the cut-throat razor, he offered to run the electric clippers over my beard, and did so well enough it was as if I had just a day's growth.It's rare that I come out of a barber's so proud of the result I want to go out and socialise, or take a photo of it, but I took photos yesterday. Old mate'd done such an excellent job.He's also a great conversationalist - a lesser appreciated skill for those in his industry.

Being the day before Father's Day, I was expecting to wait ages for my 3.5yo son to get a hair cut, surprisingly we were seen to straight away. The guys were lovely, gave advice on what style would work best and got the job done quickly. My son loves his new 'do and I'll be sending the hubby in next week for his.
