We felt it was both appropriate and obligatory to leave a review about the reality of our attempt to use this software.We strongly recommend that you do as much research as you possibly can before engaging. Ask as many questions, specifically relating to the onboarding process, planning, rollout, timelines, and schedules.We recently went through the process of investing in Opto to enhance and automate our current manufacturing business, and it was nothing short of a nightmare. We invested hundreds of thousands of dollars and 18 months plus of our time, all to no avail, having to start from scratch all over again.One of the main advantages of Opto Software is that it is an all-in-one turnkey software solution, or so we thought. There is much to be discovered when delving deeper. The software itself is not automated and was heavily reliant upon having an internal staff member with a knack for software development to help navigate the build. It was not user-friendly, there was minimal support, and continuous data collection processes were being chopped and changed by new staff at Opto.The support during this process was at a deficit, this, coupled with high staff turnover, made it near impossible to achieve any of what we agreed.In our experience, we cannot recommend it to anybody. The intended use of the software did not do what we were told it would do.The final straw was that Opto rejected a request for a refund. We are still paying for this through finance as it stands today. Opto sold a product that did not do what it was supposed to, we have wasted far too much time on this, and through covid, this was detrimental to our business.We have successfully implemented an alternative/superior manufacturing software program in under 4 months. Comparatively, support queries through Opto took an average of around 1 month for response and assistance, with our new software it's an on average 2 hours or less response time. The moral of this story is to do your research, and let this be your lesson learned.
