asked for halal certificate and staff didn't even know.. (in both chinese and english). when i turned around there's literally pork belly in the fridge and it's probably contaminated.

It’s an alright place that does the job for a feed for a good price. I just felt like the selection was slightly lacking in terms of ingredients and was a little dirty due to uncareful cleaning. Check your bowls and rings to make sure previous ingredients aren’t stained on it. Besides that, the wait isn’t too long but tables aren’t cleared or cleaned often as we had to move the previous bowls and wipe our own table. Maybe this place was self serve ? I don’t know.

Best Malatang in Burwood. Great food at great price and comfortable seating.Soup selections are yummy (my fav are classic, spicy and tomato). Good selection of meat, vegies, seafood, sausages and assorted balls. Meat is stored in a separate fridge so it’s much fresher. The owners are friendly and helpful. Comfortable environment to dine in. I would definitely come back.

Spacious seating, wide range of ingreds to choose from but if you come at night I've had few instance where (usually around the last 90mins before they close) they may not restock the self serve sauces or veges etc if they're empty. Overall clean restaurant and staff are not rude here which is a bonus for a mlt shop

I think the classic soup is the best malatang soup that I ever have. In this place you can choose 2 soups at once. You pay a little more but if you want variety, it’s a great option.The dry hotpot is an XO stirfry. Excellent if that is what you like. My bf prefers dry hotpots. Fun House is good value too. Seems cheaper than the other malatang places and the soup’s flavour is so intense.

Good selection of raw materials. Some of the vegetables didn't look particularly fresh. But everything tasted fine after it was cooked. Cooking was kinda slow, long wait to get my dish even though not many customers.

A lesser known malatang place in Burwood but quality of produce and broths are better than most. Love the variety of self-serve condiments and there's the option to get a split bowl with two soups.

Hands down one of the best malatang in Sydney and so underrated. Great service and cleanliness is on point. You can taste the freshness in the bowl. They even have a station to create your own sauce to your liking. 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
