Salamanca Market
Great place to visit. Prices are high but it seems all good quality. I brought a hand made leather bag and have used it every day since. Also enjoyed the wallaby burritos. And they staff were great about dietary requirements.

2nd time there and we chose to stay at Somerset SA for both our trip which is a stone throw to the market. The market converted from a car park to the market on every Sunday morning. A must go to place when you are at Hobart. Range from fresh food to handicrafts, many food options for brunch.

Prior to traveling to Hobart we had heard from many friends to see the Salamanca Markets in Battery Point. The roads are barricaded off and the main precinct becomes a flurry of activity with stallholders everywhere. Parking was easy and there was a lot to see and experience. The highlight was tasting and then purchasing nougat (particularly the pink gin nougat). I am not a nougat fan normally but this was something else. Also the scallop sticks were incredible and cooked hot and fresh.

Two of us were visiting Hobart, Tasmania whilst on a trip from Melbourne, Victoria. We had heard about the famous Salamanca Markets. We decided to visit early on a wintery Saturday morning. It was such a lovely atmosphere and all the stall owners were very friendly and welcoming. I walked away from the market with some souvenirs and chocolate. This is a must visit if you are visiting Hobart and happen to be down on the weekend!

The Markets were every bit as worthwhile as people suggested. Everyone I spoke with was lovely and the range of locally produced jams, sauces and soaps was outstanding. I attended specifically for the Henk Berg stall and did not leave disappointed!

Salamanca Market
One of the most Beautiful market in Southern Tasmania also known as Saturday or Salamanca market. Lot of variety of Items and Food stalls in this Market. Hard to find Car park but also enjoyed the vibes of Market. Nearly 200 stalls and Local products, loved it.

Salamanca Market
Large market offering a wide range of items. Best to look at all the stalls before making a purchase. The market is surrounded by galleries and awesome shops and restaurants. We spent almost the whole day there.

Salamanca Market
One the must do experiences when visiting Tasmania. The markets are mainly aimed at tourists selling various alcoholic drinks, woodcrafts, leather goods, food and a smattering of trinket stalls. We found a few good prices but on the whole probably cheaper from everyone's shop. The last time we were here (today 11/03/23 ) it was extremely busy with 2 large cruise ships in and a long weekend.Lots of different food options as well as drinks.I would recommend using public transport to get here as traffic around the area can be extremely slow moving and hard to get parking. Very easy access via ferries and bus.
