Halfway Restaurant And Cafe

Kudos to the lovely staff working in 40 degree heat in a cafe that has no air conditioning. I can only imagine how hot it was in the kitchen. The look of the cafe leaves alot to be desired, complete with creepy old ornaments for sale on dusty shelves and a wash basin in the ladies room that hasn't seen a cloth in millennia. If it weren't for the friendly service we probably would have walked out before ordering. The food was freshly prepared, I had a tasty hamburger with the lot, my partner and kids had some delicious chips and nuggets which we all enjoyed. I would eat here again, perhaps in the cooler months, or if they got an airconditioner, though it would cost a fortune to run as the shop is so large. As we were leaving my daughter dropped a chip she was still eating on the floor, much to her dismay I picked it up and threw it in the bin which made her cry. The beautiful lady working in the cafe swiftly followed us out the door with tongs holding two freshly cooked chips to hand to my little girl. It made her day and helped settle her for our four hour journey ahead. Great customer service!!! I would recommend this place to anyone that loves a good burger with fantastic friendly service.

Absolutely great food, you can taste the love it's been made with. The owner is an amazing and friendly lady. I recommend :)

One of the best burgers with the lot that I have had in a very long time. Great homemade patty and my only issue was that the egg was cooked a little runny which made a bit of a mess in my beard.Will be stopping by here everytime I pass by.

Great service, small family business run by a friendly and genuinely nice couple! Highly recommend going there, I had the beef burger with everything, and there was literally EVERYTHING in that burger! XD, great value too!

Stopping by here for lunch the person serving was very friendly. The customer service was amazing for what appears to be only one person. The chips are very fresh and overall the products can be cheaper than McDonald's in a way.

Fantastic old school take away,don't be put off by the shabby facade,truckers are always right when they choose somewhere to eat.We had burgers and Kebabs and they were spot on.Great value,we will Go back

The owners here are extremely kind. I fled the fires from Bega in an exhausted state, and they were amazingly hospitable and asked me to rest here as long as I wanted. Nice, clean cafe with a relaxed atmosphere.

Under new management, however my review reflects the same image as the other one star reviews.Coffee was instant, but paid full espresso machine prices the fish and chips was possibly birds eye with undercooked chips.

Reasonable, food was good, service pleasant, bit of an effort to use the amenities. A good clean up of the premises is in order. Popular with truckers.

Cababs mmmyum fish great milkshake like u got in 70s the whole place is like going back to 70s prices portions level of care freshness of foods realy if there anything more I can say let me no I wished the shop was just down road that my only complaint bloke works there if u ever went into business u would drive to other side country to offer him a job that is how good he is he artist basicly he gotta clean cook n handle custumers n he excels great shop n I can not drive past it
