Forty Winks Manly Vale

Excellent customer service. We had a bed custom made by this store and we are thrilled with it. The quality is excellent and I would definitely recommend buying from them.

All the staff at Forty Winks Manly Vale are knowledgeable, courteous and extremely helpful. They also care about their customers - they took the time to ensure we understood the features of each mattress and in the end we chose a Crown mattress (which not many other places stock) It is fantastic! Highly recommend Forty Winks.

Had a great experience at Manly Vale store. Went in to look at mattress for my daughter and ended up buying one for myself as well. Cooper was very knowledgeable and helpful with no pressure to purchase at all. Would highly recommend, not only were the prices great, the service was too. So nice to experience great customer service.

Really disappointed, mattress was not delivered on time and caused a serious inconvenience to me and guests who were supposed to be staying over. Do not rely on delivery times if purchasing. The mattress however I am happy with.

This place is the bomb. Seriously so happy with my double size base (Sovereign Double Gaslift $1759). I rang Tim from Forty Winks Manly Vale in a bit of distress when another bedding company let me down. I needed a base quickly and Tim organised it so I could see the options and chose the most suitable base in record time. It had to be in stock as my back was killing me from moving and sleeping on a camp bed. It was delivered the next day and I am extremely happy with it. It has as much storage as you could possibly fit into a bed with hidden drawers, and a storage underneath plus built in lights and charging for phone! It was a good price and fits the room perfectly. I am over the moon. Thank you Tim for your kind, helpful, genuine manner and excellent customer service! I am forever grateful.

Great service by Rik! As a young uni student that has no idea about mattresses and beds and scared to spend a fortune, I was realived to find Rik who was able to talk me through everything, get me a great deal and left no pressure for me to make the sale. I walked away without purchasing anything then was back after half an hour of visiting the competitors to by from them. Awesome service! Keep it up!!

DO NOT BUY FROM HERE. We have had an absolute nightmare dealing with 40 Winks Balgowlah! My partner hopped off a flight from USA to Aus following a major spinal operation (disc replacement). We headed straight to 40 winks for a top of the line mattress for his recovery. (I had to move house unexpectantly whilst he was overseas and wasn't able to keep the old mattress). We purchased a mattress for well over $4k. We were promised 2-3 week delivery by the salesperson. 6 weeks later and still no mattress!!!! Absolutely furious with the misleading lead time, especially since this was paramount we had it ASAP for his recovery. Very disappointing as Snooz down the road has confirmed they would have been able to deliver within that time frame. Will definitely be going back to Snooz next time!!!!!

This is more of a warning than a review. If you do have to go here for a bed, I highly recommend avoiding the manager, and the supposed 'best' salesman Rob. I have to say I had the worst service and sale I have ever experienced in any retail transaction. I went in there for a firm bed and the salesman I had was supposedly against selling firm beds and yet I walked away with a firm bed. At no time during the transaction was there any suggestion from Rob about any other beds (that may alleviate my pain I had from sleeping), or any 3 month trial beds, or was I put on the Bed Matching computer. Rob was extremely rude during my time there and when I asked 'once I buy the mattress, is that it?' I was told yep, you're stuck with it. No mention of being able to respec the bed, at my cost, and if there was I would have made a more informed decision and held off on buying the bed, but there was not. So I bought the bed, hoping I would return to good night's sleep, as I'm guessing, they are the experts in this regard. But 2-3 months later, I called the shop and told them of my issues and was promptly told that beds don't give you back problems, I must have had an accident, and am I sure I was dealing with Rob, because he wouldn't have sold me a firm bed and he would have showed me other options. So I contacted head office and had to wait for the manager to call me back. When he did, only then did he tell me I could have the bed remade, at my cost, which at this point was pointless as I had bought the bed and slept on it for 4 months! After a few more conversations with the manager, and being told they did nothing wrong, and that it was NOT their job to show us any other beds or recommend anything else (unless we asked the questions) I came away very unhappy and $1700 out of pocket due to a very very poor sales process, that did nothing to recommend the right bed for me, even though they have bed matching software in every store. Very dissatisfied with this branch of Forty Winks. Definitely would not recommend this store and would NEVER but from here again. Worst salesperson and rudest retail transaction ever! DO NOT GO HERE!! Would give zero stars if the option was there.The Chatswood store is many levels up in sales experience and friendliness, much better option.

What an absolutely fantastic experience: Extremely helpful, knowledgeable and proactive staff. During the sales process, it was to really address our needs and recommend what will work for us, not just trying to force a sale (Like we had just down the road). Even after we bought out mattress, the independent factory made a mistake on the computer of the bed base: Forty Winks Manly had no problem to immediately drive out and get evidence, arrange everything and ensure that we we looked after in the meantime. Not to mention having by far the best range as well.

The customer service agent was very dismissive and rude towards my mother. She had interest in a number of mattresses she had seen in Choice and the salesmen basically said that he didn't agree with what Choice had to say. Is he not aware that many potential customers may have budget constraints? Maybe he should be trained to better understand his customer's needs rather than putting them down and saying that he knows better. Lost yourselves a potential sale Forty Winks, bad luck!
