Falls Forest Retreat

Beautiful location, very relaxing....would love to return!

We loved everything, the cosy retro style accommodation, with a fire pit and hammock on the back verandah, the amazing ancient rainforest with awe inspiring waterfalls and freshwater swimming holes, as well as all the fun swings and the see-saw with two leather saddles as seats. Alex and Hugh were so welcoming and the children loved their dogs. It was a great time away for all the family. We will have to make a return visit.

My experience:I came here with a small group of friends and we had an absolutely amazing time. Not only was it peaceful and relaxing, it was also great for exploration and adventure. Leaving Falls Forest Retreat behind was sort of like leaving my happy place... but I’ll be back.Who I’d recommend this to:This is the absolute best property for anyone looking to unwind and lose themselves in nature and everything that is Falls Forest Retreat. If hiking through the forest to find the beautiful waterfalls and cascades that await you isn’t quite your thing, you’ll surely enjoy relaxing in the hammock, by the fire or inside the property with plenty of books to read and board games to play.The hosts:Nothing like the people in Sydney. They’re very down to Earth, lovely and helpful. For some city folk like us, we really appreciate how helpful they were with our requests.Bonus:The hosts have two fluffy clouds named Awooska and Moondrop who will only brighten your day and bring you joy if they run in your direction.Thank you Alex and Hugh for allowing us to make some forever lasting memories at your property.

A lovely place to escape the hustle of city living. Living amongst nature with the different sights, sounds and pace is refreshing. Our highlights were the walk to the waterfall and the saltwater pool. Our kids are 5 & 7 and they loved it. The beds were super comfy and accommodation clean. There were a few daddy longlegs around which frightened the kids but were expected. The downside was the abundant mosquitos!! They seemed immune to repellant and went to town on us. Hubby got 50+ bites :( but the bites are smaller and not as itchy as the Sydney mosquitos.

Beautiful enchanted forest in a secluded rainforest paradise. Full of charm, retro character and history; a treat for down to earth nature lovers and people who love revisiting the past through old building quirks and charm. Not for high maintenance people, but for people looking to experience the simple life and get back to basics.

Super nice and relaxing place to stay. The hosts Alex and Hugh are awesome! The cabins are comfy and done up real nice. Free WiFi and the rain water is drinkable after filtering with the water filters that come with the place.The nature around is stunning and there is even an orchard with limes, lemons and oranges and more. Definitely recommend to stay for a getaway, yoga retreat, or to host a party/wedding.

Nice relaxing place and owners are very nice, even took us on a bush walk!

I'm absolutely in love with this place. It's beautifully decorated, very cosy and has everything you desire for a getaway in the woods. We spent 4 days there, went hiking everyday, swam in waterfalls and enjoyed time by the fire. Alex and Hugh are fabulous and welcoming hosts. It's the perfect place to switch off - our cabin had wifi and Netflix but the connection is sketchy from time to time which we didn't mind as we wanted to switch off.

Awesome place to get lost in the forest with those sounds truly disconnecting you from the hustle and bustle of the city's concrete jungle. Sighting of the fireflies was a great one and the trails are awesome to trek. The host Alex was very accommodating and hospitable.
