We love the place! Waterfront site, fishing, kayaking its a quiet peaceful break. We put up with sandies & mozzies, its a part of our life.Lite a few mozzie coils morning & night that helps.Owners are very friendly & helpful with us, we have nothing to complain about! Amenities are clean & we have lived with tank water all our life so short showers are what you do!Graham & Desley

This is a park not set up for families, it has limited amenities for kids, it appears quite unkempt. The manager of the park was in my opinion rude and offensive. See similar comments

My brother told me about this little gem.Yes it is old, but I found it also very quaint. Ray the Owner was a pleasure to deal with and I was very impressed that he came to check how things were after a heavy thunderstorm on the first night. I found the amenities block very clean with great hot showers. The locals are friendly and we had a top spot right at the waters edge. The park is quiet and has some colourful plants to give it that tropical feel. I’d like to come here again. Very restful.Thank you Boonooroo!

We have stayed at the caravan park on a few occasions. It is true you will be eaten alive by the midgies unless you have insect repellant. On the occasions we stayed (3 times camping) we found the management to be friendly and the facilities to be okay. The camping site we had on the river bank was perfect. However, we did stay once in an onsite van and it was the pits. The smell was horrific and my wife became ill from it. We complained and asked to be moved to another van, but none were available. The owners did try their best to accommodate us.

Well positioned base for fishing and crabbing in Sandy Strait. Close to boat ramp.

My husband David and myself have just spent four beautiful nights at this peaceful caravan park. The owner, Ray was very friendly and most helpful, guiding us into our water view site. The most relaxing place we have ever chanced to pull into and certainly not sorry. The park was tidy and the amenities very clean with plenty of hand wash around for sanitizing. We would recommend this park to anyone who wants a well deserved relaxing break

We stayed there recently just after christmas. The caravan park is extremely ran down. No soap to wash your hand in after going to the toilet. Showers and toilets were obviously not cleaned each day. Was eaten alive by midgies. Yes we did have tropical insect repellent that I am sure they are used to it. We had to leave because I got an allergic reaction from being midgies. Asked for our money back. Were given a small back and the manager there wasn't very nice to us at all. DON'T STAY THERE.
