My Mum and I had a wonderful time at Christa's workshop. The beautiful studio space on the mountaintop and Christa's generous spirit helped us to let go of our pernickety approach to creating. The range of techniques she showed us, with arty pens, house paints & gilding meant that the artworks created themselves. It's a perfect experience for both beginners & accomplished artists alike. We went home full of joy, inspiration & with artworks we're proud of!

Having purchased art from around the world from our travels, we realised we didn’t have anything from our own region..... the beautiful Samford Valley. We visited Christa’s fabulous studio and fell in love with two paintings called “The Gathering”. We spent a wonderful day at a Mixed Media Workshop in Christa’s art studio in beautiful surrounds in Clear Mountain. Christa is an extremely talented artist and generously shared her wealth of knowledge of different art techniques including gilding, impasto, frontage and ink pen. A most enjoyable workshop and an added bonus was taking lunch (and a glass of bubbles) by the beautiful dam on the property. Thank you Christa!

Regardless of whether you are an accomplished artist or finding it difficult to draw a stick figure like me, Christa has the experience and patience to guide you through the creative process.At the Mixed Media workshop, we explored different techniques using textures, relief, gilding, patina, muslin & water-soluble graphite.The location in itself is a work of art as you are surrounded by nature, and the studio space is large with good natural light.I loved that all the materials were included in the workshop and that I could simply arrive and start creating.Christa demonstrated every step before we attempted it and provided individual assistance when needed. I visited Christa’s gallery recently as part of the Samford & Surrounds Arts Trail. Christa welcomed me warmly and gave me a warm blanket to wear around my shoulders when she saw I was chilly. Her space is a joy to meander through. I was drawn to so many pieces of her eclectic work. Her style is free flowing and use of gilding is just gorgeous. I will definitely be back to visit her in her tranquil space in the mountains. Thank you Christa for your kind hospitality.

I recently spent an enjoyable day at Christa's Art & Guilding. Christa created a relaxed and fun atmosphere in which to learn and experiment with new techniques. It was a fun way to spend a day with other creative people. The day flew by and everything was explained well and simply. This is my second workshop with Christa and I can absolutely recommend for beginners or the more experienced looking to learn new things.

Christa is an inspirational and knowledgeable artist and teacher. She was generous in terms of sharing her skills and techniques with the group. I gained a lot from the workshop, and highly recommended it.

Participants in Christa's recent workshop at the Carnival of Arts Gladstone, were very excited about using her hand made eco pens to create imaginative and expressive works of art. Gilding added highlighting and increased the preciousness and richness of effect.
