Camp Elim
Love camping here. One side is the lake, the other the beach - unpatrolled, so don't go if you can't swim.Staff are lovely

I stayed for a long weekend in October. I found the Lakeside Cabin exactly as described on the website. Everything about my experience was great. The location is awesome and the facility (Cabin 12) was more than suitable for my need as a solo traveller. The staff were friendly and helpful. I will definitely be back!

Been comming here for 13 yrs. My Inlaws have been comming here for nearly 30 yrs.. its mostly pleasant and quiet. Usually clean and tidy, our kids love it here as the lake is very safe. Good for fishing also.People just need to be reminded of the speed limit within the camp grounds. The bathrooms have been kept clean and tidy.A Family bathroom would make life easier for families especially those with special needs children, as it would stop people un necessarily using the disabled" bathroom...."

Camp Elim is a wonderful place to stay with family and friends. We celebrated our sons 15th birthday with a few of his friends from school and we all had a fabulous time on the lake, in the ocean, playing basketball, using the standup boards, snorkelling and spear fishing. Plenty of activities to do for the whole family.

We have travelled 6 hours from the Gold Coast to camp with friends in this place. We asked the Camp Elim officer if we could do a bbq next to the lake to what she answered Yes. After a few minutes doing the bbq the same officer came to check if we were consuming alcohol, we answered that we were not having alcohol, just no zero alcohol beer. We even offered her to check our eskis and the cans itself. She refused to check and assumed they were alcoholic drinks, after that she became really rude and asking us to turn off our bbq (our first meal after 6hrs) and leave the camping site. We tried to explain again and show her our drinks but she didn’t want to hear. She was rude and agressivo to my wife when she tried to ask for at least let us have dinner.Awkward experience. They had a behaviour of people that don’t want to listen the other part, the lady was absolutely disrespectful for not hearing us or giving the benefit of the doubt. For a please that consider themselves Cristians they had a behaviour totally opposite to that.

Camp Elim
A very exquisite camp located across from a beautiful coastal beach but right on the foreshore of a scenic sandy lake. The amenities here are great with the family units containing split system AC, a small kitchen (including a fridge, a microwave, a gas cook top and a good selection of cookware and crockery), shower, toilet and laundry (communal laundries can be found throughout the camp). Driers and a vending machine containing snack food are available but both for a fee. A basketball court and table tennis tables are also available at no charge. The adventure tower (featuring a large climbing rockwall) and the giant swing are available for large groups. Pushbikes, kayaks, canoes and other watercraft are available to hire for $10 per person per hours the hire includes life jackets if required. The town is located approximately 10 minutes drive away with coles, woolworths, kmart and aldi in the same complex. The downsides are very minimal. the lakes edge was covered by thick seaweed and the shoreline can be very boggy. We also suffered a short black out (at no fault of the camp) while here and it was very dark so bringing a torch would be a good idea as well.
