Kenny's Pork Rolls

Not your traditional banh mi but still yummy. A lot of pork filling but lacking in the amount of crackling.

In the heart of Oxford Street sits Kenny’s Pork Rolls, a little joint that serves up some of the best bánh mì I've had in a long time.You walk in and the first thing you notice is the mural on the left which I believe was done by Sam Shennan. The range of illustrations from street signs to food to a bikini top, sit on the top of the vibrant pride colours which keeps in theme with every other business on Oxford Street.Kenny is probably the most welcoming business owner I've ever come across and I think this is what makes him different from a lot of other people and what makes this place so great. He greeted every single person who walked through the door in the time that we were there, by name. He has obviously built relationships with each and every one of his customers, which is a lovely thing to see.We were served up 3 of his most popular rolls. Look how beautiful they look against that mural though.The first roll I tried was the ‘Chicken Schnitzel’ and it was just so delicious. It went perfectly with Kenny’s in-house mayonnaise and pate, along with the fresh vegetables and signature sauces. Of course, the ‘Signature Crispy Pork Roll’ was to die for and yes, it was crispy! We were given more pork crackling to cut into and it was the right amount of crunch and flavour. The ‘Slow cooked Beef Roll’ was also a pleasure to eat.. I mean, you can't go wrong with beef that's been slow cooked for 8 hours, right?!For those who want a lighter option, Kenny also offers salad bowls. The same delicious meats but served on top of fresh salads and sauces. We had the ‘Signature Crackling Roast Pork bowl’, the ‘Veggie Spring Roll Salad Bowl’ and my favourite, the ‘Soft Shell Crab Bowl’. I can't begin to describe how good that soft shell crab was! I'm drooling just thinking about it.As well as the traditional rolls and the salad bowls, we also got to try the chips, marinated chicken wings, veggie spring rolls and curry puffs. No surprise here, they tasted delicious too!

Need some serious Banh Mi fix? Kenny’s Pork Rolls is the go to place. His classic pork banh mi is scrumptious. The flavor of the pate blends in well with the Vietnamese ham and balanced off by the cucumber, spring onions, fresh coriander and pickled carrots. The king of all Banh Mi is his Crispy Pork Roll. A generous serving of flaked moist roast pork topped with succulent crunchy pork cracklings. Heavenly! By far the best Vietnamese Banh Mi I have had.

Absolutely love Kenny’s pork roll.If you’re ever wanting some seriously good pork crackling this is your place!Fresh rolls filled with flavour. My favourites would have to be the signature crispy pork roll and the soft shell crab roll.

Ordered the pork crackling roll. A lot smaller than the average pork roll. Probably 2/3 of the size for $12. Crackling was not well made too. Also asked for no chilli but there was chilli (maybe cross contamination). Staff were nice and polite but taste and value was just not there.

New place just opened up on Oxford St. Good pork roll. $7.50 with a drink and prawn chips. Wings are also great crispy on the outside and still moist on the inside. Good atmosphere and friendly staff. Would def go back again.

Great pork roll and crispy pork rolls. Has several visits and the rolls are consistently fresh and crunchy, good amount of fillings although there have been times when there is a lot less compared to other visits. Great place to use the eat club app and get a good discount. Overall a good option for pork rolls when in, or close to the city.

Absolute brilliant food. Great port crackling, pulled beef, rolls are huge, sauce and fried rice. OMG! The lot of us didn't say a word while we were in there just head down and ate. If I could I would give this place 6 stars. Traditional authentic Vietnamese street food. Great value for money...really worth every cent. Highly recommended!!

Yoooooo what a top bloke! Very well taken care of here and the food matches the hospitality. The ratio of filling for the grilled chicken Bánh mì was well balanced and seasoned so well. Ended up getting half KG boxes of the pork crackling and 8hrs slow cooked pulled beef for later. Great fill for lunch or a hangout, will be a regular for me

Good place here for banh mi. They have a wide variety of choices of Banh mi, fried rice dishes and vermicelli for the meat. Options include Signature Pork roll, Veitnamese Classic Pork, Pork meat ball, marinated Grilled Pork Sausage, Grilled chicken, Chicken Schnitzel, Slow cooked beef and lamb and softshell crab. Been here a few times for the signature crispy Pork roll banh mi and the crispy pork belly was amazing with the crispy skin. Also tried the Chicken Schnitzel and first time tried the Soft Shell Crab and it was crispy and tasty. Good lunch spot for quick Banh mi fix.
