It takes special people to volunteer at an animal shelter as I'm sure not all outcomes are great.

Very unprofessional organisation when it comes to dealing with people. I followed all their instructions to the letter but on arrival I was told that what I was told over the phone a week ago was wrong so I organised another viewing for the dog a day later and then I received a call hours later saying the do was pulled from adoption and adopted by someone else. This was very unprofessional if you're looking for a dog and don't want your heart broken I would not look here

A meet & greet was arranged one week ago today I saw the cat on their Facebook page was posted again for adoption I called only to be told someone else was going to meet the cat. There obviously is no in-house communication between staff & they apparently had no intention of calling to let me know!

We went to your Erina facility on Monday and were told after someone supposedly rang your Charmhaven facility that someone would ring us that afternoon- nothing.Then we went today to the Charmhaven facility to be told we cannot see any cats or kittens without an appointment, why is it so difficult to just see some kittens???If you aren't tech-savvy how do people manage???

Passionate staff that really love their animals. We got our kitten from here and he was already litter trained and has been an amazing little guy which i put down to all the positive interaction with staff

What a great experience visiting Socares facility. Had tried Rutherford Shelter on3 occasions and never left with any information that was helpful....let alone a pet. Socares was wonderful. Very welcoming and had time to discuss animals. They knew all relevant information and could give dates pets would be available. At last a Centre that facilitated adoption rather than sending dogs to other rescue groups to be sold for hundreds of dollars more! Thank you staff and the wonderful volunteer we spoke with at So cares.

I called today and the lady who answered was extremely rude and had an attitude. After explaining my situation, she got all nasty and passive aggressive. What disgusting behaviour from a disgusting human being who shouldn’t be around animals at all.
