My experience was initially excellent. I was opting not to get insurance but advised it necessary for travel to NZ. I wasn’t going for months but told I had to pay the nearly $700My circumstances changed and when I asked for a refund was only given $458, I paid on good faith and felt ripped off as I never used the marine insurance. I would advise anyone using this or any company to pack for them to check out all options and ask more questions. I’m sad I didn’t. The service was very good from the uplift to delivery. Dealing with the guy about insurance was not, slot of duck shoving. Any karma is coming for him.

They gave me a price and stuck to it unlike 'Pack and send' whose prices changed three times and was going to change upon delivery also, which made me feel very uneasy. The staff were responsive, professional and rather easy to deal with. The only thing I didn't like was having to pay before even dropping off. That I didn't feel good about, even if they are a reputable company. In this day and age, I rarely part with money before a service is started at least. It is just not safe. However, I contacted maybe 6 companies and Conroys was the second most affordable, and seemed quite honest and professional. Whatever situation I needed they could accompany. Thanks Conroys.

Update: several months after I complained they have compensated me $500 (even though I didn’t get their insurance). I really appreciate this gesture, but I still would never use them again.We had our stuff (1 bedroom worth) moved from the Dandenongs to Brisbane and were devastated with how much damage our stuff had sustained with Conroy’s. Also, the customer service was fantastic when I was talking to the sales team but horrendous after we booked. The staff who collected and dropped off our stuff are the only reason this company deserves any stars as they were very polite and treated our stuff with great care.The woman assigned to us, Janelle, had minimum contact with us, was very rude when I mentioned that we needed to get our own box for our tv as the base wouldn’t come off (insisting ALL tv bases come off like I was stupid, when it’s actually an older flatscreen so the base doesn’t come off), and once our stuff had been picked up I didn’t hear from her for 5 weeks till she emailed to say our stuff had been dispatched with an ETA for 3 weeks prior to the current date (turns out our stuff was already in Brisbane as I’d suspected).When we had our stuff delivered I was shattered to see the state it was in. The boxes were all squashed and some broken (even the ones labeled ‘fragile’), one was opened and not resealed, and they were all upside down even though some were labeled ‘this way up’. As a result a crystal jug was smashed (that jug had survived dozens of moves including several interstate) and a crystal glass was also smashed even though it was in its own box within the box (which was completely squashed). Our bed and hall unit were badly scratched with missing paint, our antique side tables had half the legs snapped off, the tv unit had a big boot print on the side like someone had kicked it, and the washing machine had a dint in the side! Conroy’s were not cheap so I’m extremely disappointed to see these results of our stuff being treated with such disrespect. If you like your stuff enough to pay to move it then definitely don’t go with this company.

I dealt with the Australian side shipping from New Zealand. Awesome from start to finish and the communication and follow up was amazing. They have a great team and Amanda Roza ensured all paper work and tracking through customs were met. Glen Hanking handled the pickup side from depot in Brissy and service was spot on from emails to collection. Would use conroys again 100% very competitive as well. EASY as access from highway to the depot great spot for me coming from north of sunshine coast.

We made use of Conroy removals’ services when we moved from Switzerland to Australia. When our container load arrived in Melbourne and our personal effects were put in a storehouse, we were told that they would need 1 up to 2 weeks’ notice for delivery. However, when we gave them the order to deliver our stuff, it took them around 6 weeks. They also gave us a delivery date twice just to cancel and communicate a new date short after. You wouldn’t believe but they even claimed that they had never given us a delivery date, there would be no records showing that! They also gave us all kinds of reasons for the delay: Gastric flu, Covid, supply chain problems, floods and last but not least staffing problems. What would you think of that bunch of excuses for a massive delay? You also find that dodgy? Than you are not alone! They didn’t update us on anyting at all so it was up to us to enquire about the status of the delivery. We contacted Conroy removals at least 15 times and really got fed up with it! Nobody seemed to be in charge of customer care. When things escalated and we talked to one of the superiors confronting him with the bad service, he just said that ‘they can’t follow up every single container load’ and that ‘shit happens’ once in a while. Was that really all that Conroy removals could offer us? We’ve relocated a couple of times for work and we’ve never experienced such bad service before. Our tip: Make sure that you get a professional removalist!

I had a horrible experience with Conroy Removals and I would never move with them again. I requested a quote for my belongings to be transported from NSW to QLD and requested two dates next to each other, thinking the truck would do the trip in a day or stay overnight somewhere. The Quote Acceptance I received back clearly stated those two dates for pickup and drop off. Pickup went well, the boys did a fantastic job of repacking my stuff. I waited by the door at the dropoff location for most of the next day expecting my belongings, per the Quote Acceptance supplied by Conroy. When I tried to phone Conroy there was no answer multiple times when choosing the 'current booking' option, when choosing 'sales' I was able to get through. A customer service representative scoffed and basically laughed at the fact I thought my belongings were on the way, she advised they were travelling by rail and in a storage shed somewhere, that they wouldnt be coming to me for over a month. This was distressing as I had things I was expecting to have available to me that I would now have to go without. The rep was able to bring it forward so it was only another 2.5 weeks until delivery. I was also invited to travel 100+km to their depot and get a carload of boxes or pay for my own truck to transport everything. The boys in operations at depot and delivery were great.

Really disappointing and stressful experience with this company. Paid for a service that we did not receive. Container delayed, items went missing, items damaged, received other peoples items - a 20kg dumbbell (not ours!) was placed on top of our TV. Took months for any sort of resolution. Little to no customer service once they received our money. Would recommend reading all reviews and considering other options.

This is my second time of using Conroy Removers. If I could I would give them 10 stars! My first experience with them was in 2018 and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised at how they followed up via email and cleared my goods quickly. The unpacking and arrangements of my furnitures was done professionally and efficiently. Recently I had to used their services for my relocation from Australia to Europe. They were very efficient, packing, removal and handling of my personal belongings is the best so far I've had in my years of moving. They communicated with me every step of the way. I honestly can't say they need improvement in any way. Keep up the good work. And a big thank you to all those who were involved with my move back to Europe.

We moved twice with Conroy, first internationally and then domestically. Only went second time as initial communication was great and pick up in NZ went well. On the Australian side, communication was good too, but lots of others things went not so good. We have purchased the insurance as when we found out that our mattress and oled tv was damaged dealing with Mike from insurance company was a very miserable experience, he just offered us a cheapest version of the tv that was damaged and advised to take it as there are will be no other offers.For the domestic delivery every single item has arrived damaged, even the items that were wrapped on plastic. It was very frustrating, to make an insurance claim would take ages as well fixing or replacing the items when you need to use them straight away.Conroy was a pleasure to deal in the beginning, especially in NZ. But when things went wrong they just didn’t want to deal with it and basically were blaming the other side or saying deal with the insurance, it is not our fault.Not sure if we will recommend it to the friends or use again.

The worst experience ever! We were overcharged, our delivery delayed, and some items were lost, damaged and even ended up in a different city! We also had someone else's items delivered to our house. This company is an absolute joke, and they have no empathy or commitment to customer service. We were chasing a resolution for months! So stressful.
