Poachers Paradise Hotel
Best wine list I have ever seen in a country pub! You should be so proud! Also the customer service they are so proud of the wineries, they will tell you the locations, where to go to the the wine if you want boxes or they have a take away price list! Oh and the food is amazing … especially after a long drive.Love this place! Husband happy with the best beer (he told our local to come up and get some pointer of them on how to serve beer) and I’m happy with the best wine! We will be back

Exceeded my expectations. Had the steak salad and chips. Salad was fresh and plentiful. Steak was tender. The chicken Parma was also great. Bottle of local tempranillo was great value. Not 5 star ambience but honest value prepared well. I'd do it again.

Disorganised Chaos! The atmosphere was horrendous because they had a band playing at HIGH volume from about 6:00pm on, and it was clear they were catering to the loud drunken mob in the front bar. Booked ahead and arrived at 6:30, was unable to get a dinner order taken until 7:00. Waited until 8:30pm and when we asked how much longer it would be? We were told (very rudely) that we weren't patient enough, that we were lucky not to be waiting for 3 hours and if we didn't like it we could have our money back.So thats what we did, which means I cant comment about the food, we didn't get any. We were paid in full and then escorted from the premises and told not to come back". On the busiest long weekend of the year

Good for a country pub. Hubby had pizza and enjoyed it. I had fish and chips and the fish was fresh and melted in my mouth. Chips done good and I had veg which was really good. All in all, a great lunch and would recommend.

While we had to take our pork slider back… same night as the guy took his Parma back… the staff could have not been more accommodating in getting me something else and sorry for the mistake. All our food was great and the duck spring rolls and Parma was amazing.Also I wouldn’t have helped some that was carrying on how you were carrying on about how they were going to cook your new Parma mate if you got it replaced. Give these people a go you won’t be disappointed.

If I could give this place high stars I would … the way you treat people is amazing. What you did for the lady tonight having a hard time… and making her feel so good about herself… that true customer service and while I didn’t know her you could see how much it meant to her. To the lady behind the bar your customer service skills are next level! Food was divine!

Great wine selection but ended up with a $50 bottle of durif with a fizz" to it. Did get it replaced but the bar staff were quite reluctant. I also asked to try a sip of the Chardonnay before purchasing it. That was out of the question. "We are not a cellar door! You need to pay for a glass!" She was quite rude about it even when I offered to pay for the bloody sample. Have been in many pubs where they let you try a little of the beer or wine. Chicken schnitzel very good

Historic Pub. Could do with a bit of a make over on the frontage, although the inside is quite respectable. Meals were OK & public bar had nice atmosphere.

Absolutely horrendous experience.The wine was local and lovely, but the service was mediocre and when we ordered two of the smaller size chicken parmigiana, one of them came out the size of a chicken tenderloin.After nicely asking staff if this could be improved, it was brought back (after watching them flip the ham and cheese off with their finger), and gave no option to fix the problem.Additionally, the steak we ordered was over cooked and dry, and we were left feeling very badly treated after watching our table next to us send back their pulled pork sliders for being cold.Such a bad experience and I hope they decide to improve their quality and consistency, including their service skills.Would not recommend!
