Loved it. Had fun fossicking. Track in good, even took our big van in there.

Peaceful and relaxing, great place for digging for smokies. Drop toilets, no water, bring everything you're going to need and pack out all your rubbish.

Is a great place to go for crystals, bush camping with a drop toilet, no water and no rubbish bins and no fire wood inside the reserve, so take out what you bring in.2 tracks in, At T Junction right hand track is 4x4 no caravans.Straight ahead is suitable for 2wd and caravans, some slow spots but a 2 ton tandem handled easy. Not an area for dogs so please dont take them. Keep an eye on children as sometimes there are open pits but there is a lot of safe noodling area's..

Interesting place to look for smokey quartz but not easy to find them. Rough track in only for sturdy 4wd. No camping facilities so by all and take all waste away and I mean ALL

Fun place! Bit muddy after the recent rain though. Looking forward to my next visit.

Unless you are up for some serious hard work (ie dig a deep hole into hard clay soil), don't expect to find much these days. The whole searchable area is quite small and looks like a moon scape. It has been turned over many times over the years and filled back in by heavy machinery, so you are basically looking for Smokey quartz others have discarded or missed. But saying that, if you enjoy the treasure hunt and are willing to put in the effort you can find some nice small peices.

Such a beautiful place to camp. Dogs allowed and you can fossik in the designated area if you have a Victorian Miners Right. Drop tank toilet complete with redback spiders. No water access so take your own. 4wd to get there is best as the track can get really rough in the wet. Not really any signage to point the way so use a GPS.
