After failing at multiple games of phone tag with the wreckers all over Newcastle, I started on the list of wreckers in Sydney. I rang Abco spare parts as it was the closest to the Newcastle on the list 12/10/22.Richard had great initiative and searched it on his computer, told me he didn’t have this part but one wrecker on the database did have it. Despite this part having cosmetic scratches it was a fully functioning part. Much better than mine which was smashed and not usable.I rang this South Australian spare parts and they emailed me photos, I paid over the phone and it arrived on Friday 14/10 and I with the help of YouTube was able to install my fully functioning part. It may have only been a CD player but it’s what connects my phone to Bluetooth so I can answer calls and drive, it allows me to see when I am reversing, it allows me to listen to music when I drive. It’s an absolute necessity that I’ve been without for so long because Subaru Wickham couldn’t even help me out with ordering a new one. It’s been 18 months since I ordered floor mats from Subaru directly - I’m thinking I’ll have to order those from a wrecker next. Looking for a spare part for a Hilux, was told to come down as they should have one there already. Upon arrival was told that it will be there tomorrow and that I will receive a phone call tomorrow, no big deal. Never received the call, called back 2 days later and was told definitely will come tomorrow. Once again never hear back. Call the following week after hearing nothing and told it will come after Xmas. 3 weeks later still silence. Won't be coming back for parts for my various project cars as they are good at wasting your time, shame as I always recommended abco to customers looking for parts as an automotive industry employee.Wyong 4x4 wrecker was much easier to deal, was also cheaper
