Weather wasn't on our side on our two day trip with Woody island eco tours, but still the beauty of the island took our breath away! The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful and knew a lot about the island. We brought our own tent but you can book an accommodation suitable for your needs. They will take all your stuff on the ferry, unload at the island and deliver it to the camp-site to a sheltered spot for you! There was also a very informative walking tour and tea and coffee after a chilly ferry ride. The visitor centre has a small bar/cafe/restaurant and heaps of games available for rainy days! Fishing was epic and a good snorkel trail too, even though this time the weather had made the water murky. Can't wait for our next time on the island!

Very pleased with a beautiful day exploring Woody Island. The walk with Bobbie was great. Recommend a visit and even staying over in new tents looks like a great idea.

Had a fabulous time. The boat ride itself was great as it’s not too far out that you get sick. Seeing Seals and Sea Lions in their natural environment was so beautiful! The food at the island was also a nice surprise, simple but really tasty! Highly recommend! Only feedback would be to take gummy shark off the menu - not ideal for an ‘Eco tour group’

One of the most unique island locations off the WA coast. Has a lot to offer. Flora and Fauna all around. Great walks through Coastal Moort thickets and Sheaoks. Great snorkeling under the jetty with many different species present in crystal clear waters. Quite spectacular. You can rough it in your own tent or live it up in one of theirs. Just don't take your good shoes. Black dust everywhere.

I’m sure the island is wonderful if you can actually get on a trip. We tried to book on the website and couldn’t. Rang 4 times and left 2 messages over 2 days to no avail. Called into the office and waited 20 min only to be told the tour we wanted had been booked out that morning even though we’d been calling since the day before and leaving messages. Clearly they don’t need the business.

I absolutely loved being able to sit at the front of the boat with my legs over the edge! I normally get sea sick but this cruise was fine. We got to see Australian sea lions, a NZ fur seal, a white bellied sea eagle, Cape Barren geese, resident birds of woody island and king and other skinks. Graham our guide has plenty of interesting stories and has worked and lived in Esperance for many decades so knows pretty much all there is to know. Only downside was that there were so many comb jellyfish in the water so snorkelling wasn’t as pleasant. You had to swipe them out of the way and it was a bit hard to see through them.

Absolutely A-MAZING! The tour was incredible! The crew was incredible! An absolute must experience. Everyone so friendly and knowledgeable. Graham had so many stories and talked to everyone. All staff at the island were super friendly. We saw dolphins, sea lions, geese, gulls and sea Eagles on the way out. The island is absolutely stunning! We swam at Skinny Dip Bay but Shearwater Bay would have been beautiful snorkelling if we had time. There is a guide walk but we did our own thing. Can't recommend this tour enough and such an amazing company. Thanks to the team

My partner and I spent two nights on woody island with our own tent, we loved it. The tour ride out was great; dolphins, sea lions, sea eagles followed by complimentary morning tea. The staff on the boat were very informative and friendly. The island was beautiful, we snorkeled multiple times a day even though it was cold, the jetty, rock caves and skinny dip bay were highlights for this. There’s more walks than on the map, you can ask staff for tips, we walked a lot. We loved the on-island staff! The Spanish couple were super friendly and helpful, we couldn’t thank them enough, and Murray had fantastic tips on what to see/do. Their tents looked nice enough and seemed like reasonable value, camp site is a bit exxy as they’re not big and some really aren’t level. Sites 8 and 9 were the best. The area is crying out for a wind break, the wind howled in from the open side and filled our tent with fine black dust. Installing some clothes lines would be fantastic too as there’s no where to hang your wet gear.
