Ramada Suites by Wyndham Zen Quarter Darwin

Booked 6 months ahead and got a great deal for a 5 night stay. Room on 14th floor overlooking the harbour, washing machine and full kitchen which was great. 5 -8 mins walk to restaurants and bars. Roof top bar was great as was the big lap pool.

We stayed 6 nights. Nice one bedroom/studio apartment. Self contained with cook top, oven, microwave, dishwasher, and clothes washing machine. Large balcony. We had a city view which let us see some spectacular sunsets. The bed was terrible with the flattest pillows known to man. We had breakfast included. This turned out to be a $44 credit in the cafe. We ended up paying a little more every morning. The food is good but don’t expect to fill yourself up for a big day if you are going on adventures. The room is ok but the bed is the big letdown. Towels changed after three day and bed linen was changed after four. If you are looking for a self contained accommodation in Darwin this may be the cheapest option without being cheap. The accommodation has nothing else around it so you will need a car or Uber to get to most places including restaurants. The roof top bar is very nice to take in the sunset and to have a quiet drink. Free snacks in the roof top bar.

Welcoming and comfortable apartment with all facilities .., and a harbour view … fantastic! The cafe, pool and the inviting rooftop bar (with 360 deg views) aware the icing on the top of a great stay.Watching the sunset from the rooftop was beautiful.The staff are all helpful. Well done to all at Zen Quarter!

We loved all aspects of the Zen Quarter. The rooms were large and clean with a great view over the Harbour. The staff were very friendly from reception to the cleaners and cafe/bar staff. The Rooftop Bar was amazing as was the pool and we will certainly spread the word. In fact, some family members are staying at your hotel in July.

We loved our stay here! It’s “no frills” approach is done extremely well, and we enjoyed this much more than a couple of other hotels we stayed in in Darwin that were vastly more expensive and with little didn’t offer half the “bonuses” Zen did. The breakfast was adequate, free canapés were more like canapes but still welcomed, and the entire hotel had a distinctly “Darwin” feel. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be staying again the next time we’re in Darwin.PS we were tickled by the inspirational artwork throughout the hotel. It didn’t make much sense but that was what was fun about it.

Rooms look way better in the photos than in real life.Pretty much the type of place that pensioners and families of 5+ stay at on their big lap around the country if they need to get out of the camper van, or family holiday on a budget.I called head and asked about late checkout 2 days before as I had aevening flight. They said it would be fine, just tell them the day before I check out and they can book it, yet failed to mention they they might have been nearing max capacity the day I checked out so probably couldn't give me late checkout. I would have stayed somewhere else if I was made aware.The rooftop bar is nice enough with good cocktails, large outdoor balcony and indoor bar, a good pool table, board games and a view of Darwin.Stay away from the cafe/restaurant food. Reminds me of a school canteen.

We had a wonderful stay at Ramada Suites. The room was comfortable and the air conditioner was sufficient. The staff from reception, housekeeping, bar and Cafe were all friendly and welcoming. The kids enjoyed the heated pool and trampoline. The highlight was the rooftop bar which had generously sized cocktails, free snacks, games and massage chairs. We enjoyed playing chess and backgammon with the kids. As we were travelling in the low season (mid February) we found there were not many people around and the price was good value, particularly the inclusive a la carte breakfast every morning. Definitely recommend this accommodation for families, couples or friends.

Nice place to stay in Darwin. The roof bar and breakfast are a nice addition. We seemed to be upgraded to a better room, the beds were comfortable and there were two bathrooms. The only issue I had was how noisy the bedroom was. The window did not seem sealed, so lots of outside noise and the pipes knocking and water running all night was annoying. Thank God for ear plugs.

Located a short walk from the CBD. Our room was spacious clean and very comfortable. Staff responded to our enquiries quickly and were very helpful even assisting us on a matter outside their responsibilities. We will definitely be back and we thank them all.
