Thank you Ms Dang for tutoring my son.I was first hesitant about how the online teaching especially English would work. Kids need to read and write a lot to improve. I was pleasantly surprised. My son has improved his writing. Have noticed her method. She teaches, ensures the kid understands and then she gives them assignments. And w.r.t to homework review, she is very thorough unlike the other tutoring centres who only teach but not bothered on how much the kid has grasped. She encourages kids to speak and get their understanding and if wrong she corrects it. THANK YOU Ms Dang.

Since my daughters have attended HD tutoring, both my wife and myself can see a difference in their performance in both their school and tution work. And consequently their attitude as well. Yes I believe in tough love and this is something which I appreciate compared to other tution centres that sometimes sugar-coat the real issues regarding your child's performances.

I have attended classes at HD Tutoring for almost a year. Throughout my time at this centre, I have noticed both my English and Mathematics abilities have profoundly developed, and my results in school have excelled.At HD Tutoring, Ms Dang and Mr Cheong provide an environment that allows students to share complex ideas, interact respectfully, and gain confidence in their studies. As the work set is challenging, it also allows students to push themselves and fulfil their true abilities.I have attended numerous different tutoring centres since year 5 — ones with inexperienced university students as teachers, and ones who give piles of homework that overshadowed the time I spent working on school assignments. As a result, attending these centres during my early years of high school did not alter a fraction of my grades, or worse, lowered them. Being a student who scored average marks in years 7-10, I quickly recognised that it was time to expand my abilities and pull my act together in order to succeed further on. I have always known my full potential, and the results I was receiving at school did not best reflect this. That is until I was enrolled in HD Tutoring, where I noticed a drastic difference. HD Tutoring does not overwhelm me with endless hours of homework, but instead teaches core skills in class for me to successfully complete my school-related tasks or assignments. The teachers at this centre have illustrated their passionate attitudes towards striving for students to improve, whilst also encouraging us to maintain a sense of respect. I find learning much more efficient and beneficial with teachers who retain decades of teaching experience at different schools. The activities and tasks set by Ms Dang and Mr Cheong are prepared thoroughly, with careful consideration for each student’s learning capabilities. I find both teachers are fair towards every one of their students, and never let our potential go to waste. It is clear that they care much about their student’s education.Ms Dang’s style of teaching is firm, but also engaging and useful. She provides a wide range of real-world examples which help students to understand necessary concepts, but also focuses on developing the fundamental ideas to build upon later. Her classes are challenging but concise and have pushed me in my English endeavours. Ms Dang also knows how to make an entire class burst with laughter, and when to be serious and stay on task.Mr Cheong caters to each student’s individual requirements by teaching clearly and thoroughly. He demonstrates how to complete a range of questions using different methods, and understands that each student works at different paces. He has also improved my skills in mathematics by introducing me to topics in detail and providing questions that apply to real life. He has made mathematics go from one of my weakest subjects to one of my strongest.As I attend tutoring sessions here, I am now able to easily pick up concepts in both English and Math lessons at school as the ideas have been efficiently taught to me in tutoring and have been ingrained in my knowledge. I am also more inclined to raise my hand and participate in class discussions as this centre has boosted my academic confidence.Since attending HD Tutoring, the results I have received based on my school performance have drastically grown. I am currently ranked equal first in the year 11 English Advanced course at school, and third in the Mathematics Advanced course. I do not doubt that HD Tutoring has played a significant role in helping me achieve these results and am sure I am capable of maintaining academic success as long as I continue to attend this tutoring centre. Ms Dang and Mr Cheong dedicate much of their time to assist their students and teach with devotion.

My kids have been attending classes at HD Tutoring since last year.The Centre appealed to me initially because both are qualified English and Maths teachers, with extensive knowledge of the school curriculum.It’s clear Ms Dang is a passionate teacher and pushes the kids to improve, albeit being strict in her approach. Yes, I can see how kids can be somewhat wary of her but I actually appreciate her strict old school style of teaching. My son (year 5) says Ms Dang is a “firm but fair” teacher. He actually enjoys her classes and finds it suitably challenging.It’s obvious she cares a lot about her students, and she has fostered a very solid approach to learning in my kids. Her focus is on building the fundaments, which sets them up for more complicated work later on. I wasn’t interested in a quick fix solution or passing specific exams - its an unrealistic expectation!Furthermore, Ms Dang takes the time to instil pride in their work - that is neat handwriting, margins and proper setting out. I have seen positive changes in both my kids’ workbook.Mr Cheong runs an engaging and fun class - my kids really enjoy his classes. My daughter (year 4) did not know her times tables when she started mid last year, she also lacked confidence in her maths ability. This has changed dramatically since we started at HD Tutoring.Mr Cheong’s sessions are individualised, and he caters to the child’s ability. Also, I appreciate how he is strict with showing proper working out. My son can sometimes jump straight to the answer only - and he has learnt the importance of properly setting out his maths work from Mr Cheong.Finally, I appreciate how flexible HD Tutoring is as a whole. They are always willing to do make up classes, and offers the ability to easily swap session times due to conflict of schedule

I have been tutoring with Ms Dang from the start of high school (2019) until now and HD Tutoring has and continues to be beneficial to my learning as well as my friends' learning. Ms Dang structures her lessons in various ways and each method she uses is quite beneficial! The activities, especially the collaborative activities, have enhanced my learning exponentially, increasing my enjoyment and proficiency in my English classes at school! Ms Dang's tutoring has increased my rank by roughly 6 places from 14th-8th and assisted with my analytical writing and essay writing and is indirectly enhancing my essays within English Advanced and English Extension 1.Ms Dang possesses an exceptional depth of knowledge in field of English and has a genuine passion for teaching and bettering each student in her class. The way in which, Ms breaks down concepts for us is outstanding and easy to remember as she consolidates the knowledge through repetition.The learning environment that Ms Dang has created is welcoming and conducive to focused learning and fosters a positive and inclusive atmosphere that encourages collaboration and peer support.. She encourages collaborative activities and even when the work is strictly independent, it is to get us to think for ourselves and assess our progress. Ms Dang as well as Mr Cheong are both quite friendly, approachable, and always willing to lend a helping hand especially when approached by students for assistance with assessment tasks.

Ms. Dang and Mr. Cheong have been tutoring me since the beginning of my high school career till now. Over the course of those four (and a half) years, HD Tutoring has assisted me in excelling in both English and Mathematics whether it’s ordinary homework or an assessment task question I don’t understand. There were times in my high school career where trying to wrap my head around a certain topic or idea was difficult. Thanks to Ms. Dang and Mr. Cheong and their incredible ways to assist students of any age to understand certain aspects of their learning, I was able to comprehend my studies and regain balance. Their various techniques to simplify questions and methods of answering questions amazes me to this day. HD Tutoring is the backbone of my high school career and has continued to support me throughout the tough situations. The classroom environment is relaxing and chill but you get the work done. Both teachers promote collaboration between peers as well. For English, every second or third activity, we do in groups or pairs to constructively get the answer and in Math's, we compare answers and identify our mistakes with the help of Mr. Cheong. Whenever you need help, you kindly ask and they deliver without a problem. Overall, an amazing institution and would highly recommend it to any children of any age in need of educational support.

My son enjoys attending Ms Dang’s class. The class is well organised, and Ms Dang consistently sets clear goals and instructions for each lesson. My son has found this approach helpful in staying engaged and on track. In addition, the variety of activities used in the class would not only develop my son's handwriting and grammar but also his punctuation, spelling, and vocabulary. These fundamental skills are the key building blocks of effective writing and appreciate the effort Ms Dang puts into solidifying them.

Worst experience I’ve had with a tuition school. The English teacher ms dang was extremely rude in her dealings with parents. There is a high expectation from her for respect from both kids and parents but in turn makes zero effort to earn it. Collaboration amongst kids is discouraged even though it is one of the most effective ways to learn. Overall a negative experience and I would never recommend this place to anyoneRESPONSE TO NOTE BELOW:Without having to create a 2nd negative review below is my response to Ms Dang:I understand that you need to know who is attending class before the class starts. However as a customer who has only been with you for 1 lesson, the way you spoke to me and my child came across as very rude. I’m more than happy to provide screenshots of you messaging my daughter at 9pm and peppering her phone with “Respond Isabella!” and the constant exclamation marks at the end of most of your messages. They come across as rude and have been conveniently left out of your response.My point is that I’ve had plenty of experiences with other tutors as I’ve already had one daughter pass through high school, and none of which have ever left me feeling this dissatisfied. As an English tutor, you should know that the way you communicate with my daughter and I comes across as rude, abrupt and hostile. Being a customer of your business, I think it’s more than fair to say that some etiquette and kind communication isn’t much to ask for.As for your other student responses, frankly they sound coerced and unauthentic, especially after speaking to my daughter and her friends as to how they feel about you personally. So unfortunately to me, they don’t hold much merit and I encourage anyone else reading to take them with a grain of salt.

My child attends Ms. Hien Dang’s and Mr Cheong’s online classes and I’ve seen tremendous improvement in my child, in academics as well as beyond.The level of discipline and interaction in the online class is very high that can beat a face to face class too. They are very interactive and kids cannot afford to not focus as their work gets checked during the online class.The child gets moved to the next level only when their basics are up to the standard. The method of teaching is through and feedback to parents are very honest and timely.HD tutoring centre is not like other tuition centres who are after your money but they are after enriching your child’s learning and improvement. They are honest when it comes to assessment and child’s behaviour in the class.In most of the tutoring centres I’ve seen during my research basics are not taught at all, they just throw the advanced questions at kids and leave it for the parents to work out. HD tutoring focuses on basics and then move onto advanced level only if child is thorough in their fundamentals.My child is learning much more to be ready for life. Such skilful and sincere teachers are very hard to find! Thank you Ms Dang and Cheong.

In my time tutoring with Ms Dang (just over a year), I’ve learnt that she is a very passionate and perceptive teacher.I have been with many different tutors/tutoring centres since primary school and have often been taught personalised lessons according to my prescribed texts. I find this isn’t an effective way of learning as it can cause students to become over reliant on their tutor. Some tutors have even been unable to control their class which then disturbed my learning. Lenience can result in negligence.It’s clear that Ms Dang has a genuine passion for English and cares about her student’s education. She creates a welcoming environment which encourages the students to engage in the learning and collaborate with one another (she also isn’t afraid to make a joke or two!). But Ms Dang also knows how and when to discipline the class when we become too excited and rowdy. This sort of “firmness” is something I highly value in a group tutoring environment.I especially commend Ms Dang’s style of teaching. She emphasises developing the basic skills of English and general approaches, rather than focusing on each students’ prescribed text and memorising. This includes broadening our vocabulary, reinforcing structure, reading comprehension, the ways to approach an exam-style question, and writing skills. Each lesson is thoughtfully planned and incorporates a range of different activities to immerse the students.Moreover, Ms Dang exposes us to an abundance of texts – discursive feature articles, creative stories, novel extracts, visual texts, poems, etc. This has helped immensely in my assessments at school, as I find myself more prepared to answer unseen texts with the implementation of her advice and techniquesI’ve always been on the shyer side when it comes to seeking help but, over time, I have definitely become more confident thanks to Ms Dang’s encouragement. If I ever have trouble with school work, I send it through to Ms and she’s always willing to suggest some improvements.
