I feel bad but I was trying to book an appointment with a psych I had in mind to see and got completely different information from the receptionists on the phone regarding prices and availability despite only calling again within the hour. Luckily I mentioned to the receptionist that the one I spoke to earlier had told me etc etc" and to check again for this information. Seems unstructured and unorganised I hope this is a good place to work for"

My mental health has noticeably been deteriorating since Covid last year. I saw my GP who recommended me to go to The Talk Shop. I am a bulk billed patient who has now been on the waiting list since September last year just to speak to any counsellors or psychologists available. In Jan this year they appointed me to a social worker...? Don't know how they were gonna help me and my situation so I went back to my GP who was very upset with the service as I should've been seen by anyone he suggested above. Was then told, I will be on the waiting list again...Gave them a call today (in May) to see where I was on the waiting list for the receptionist to continuously say she was unsure of anything. There was no empathy or understanding of my mental health and the conversation was so transactional. I'm just utterly disappointed in the service I've so far received and I have yet receive any professional health from this firm.

Very busy and I'm on the waiitng list for Bulk Billing. Intake was smooth and hassle free

If you are a bulk billing client (normally the people in most need of support) be prepared to wait and also have others prioritised over you. I wasn't given a time a could have an appointment or how long the wait list is. Just that I'll be notified when they have time for a bulk billed appointment.

Psychologist listened and understood, providing useful insight and guidance.

Excellent service, friendly administration staff and professional therapists. So easy to get started, they make the process simple.

I called to say that I'm running 30 minutes late and to see if it's worth rescheduling. She said it's fine and I could come. Came and the counseller advised that I have 10 minutes left for my appointment. When I was about to cancel the appointment, he said that he has time left for a full session.

I’ve had to cancel my upcoming appointment due to frustration from dealing with the overseas calls centre this company used. They couldn’t answer any of my questions or help choose the right specialist often providing confusing information. They called a number of times on the weekend chasing to update my credit card details on their system for the appointment that was not for another 2 weeks. The person that called couldn’t articulate where she was calling from, she kept asking “do you know Julian?” Only after handing up I connected the dots. To add to that after I told them it is not ok to call multiple times on the weekend, they cancelled my appointment! I’ve messaged them to cancel and they said it was already cancelled!!! The whole process made me feel more anxious than I already am. Absolutely not acceptable for a psychology service.

They don't even deserve the 1 star rating. Receptionist I spoke with via email was extremely unhelpful and unaccommodating. They honestly do not have the mental or emotional capacity it takes for this kind of job. They completely shut me down when I asked to see someone of colour as that's what I'm comfortable with. Terrible customer service.

I recently booked an appointment and my experience with the receptionist was not great. Her name is Rochelle Agahan. Her tone was very condescending and she would not let me speak and would just speak over me. She didn’t seem understanding or comforting at all especially when she’s dealing with people that are coping with mental health issues. I haven’t had my appointment with my therapist yet however my experience with the receptionist has made me not look forward to my appointment. I just hope the therapist is understanding and professional so I can overlook the receptionist’s attitude.Please be aware before you book as this may affect your mood even more.
