Addendum after a return visit - expectations more than exceeded once again.I had the absolutely incredible Tempeh Sando. So good, perfect bread with a perfect char, brilliant pickle on the vegetables, carrot top pesto and native thyme aioli to die for.Along with a perfectly made Almond Latte it doesn't get any better.Original review:Attending a soft re-opening combined with meet the farmer" event

Hidden gem in Barker! Had a lovely brunch and yummy coffee. Heaps of space for the kids to play and had the option of sitting inside or outside - both areas are lovely.

If you are looking for a spot that can accommodate big groups then this place is for you! We went here for a weekend brunch with 8 people a few weeks back! They have a small kitchen so waiting times could be longer!A very cozy spot! They have a shed that has a lot of tables and it has a kid area too! There are more tables outside and honestly so perfect for brunch!Foodwise, it’s nothing crazy or over the top. It’s simple done right! We had a few classics - big brekky & scrambled eggs. Not a bad spot!We recommend this spot for big group gatherings!

I say YES to this place. So yummy. Bought rhubarb there too. And native spices. Good vibes, excellent coffee, indoor and outdoor fires. Cushion on the seats (this is key for me!) Picnic tables in the shade and sun. #winning #sofull

Visiting Kitchen Farm Pantry was a mixed experience. They seemed to be understaffed so tables had not been cleared outside and it was quite messy. Not a big deal. The outdoor space was lovely but the fire hadn't been maintained so was just smoking & smouldering. There were not a lot of options for a vegetarian with the big breakfast for a vego being just the meat items removed. The young staff were lovely, particularly the young man that was making coffees & bringing out food.We did hear the lady making food (manager?) speak quite shortly with the staff which wasn't the nicest to hear. They had lots of food to prepare and it would have been stressful, but still, being nice to staff is important. There were a lot of single use bamboo cutlery and coffee cups in use for some in which doesn't seem necessary.Overall food was nice but the overall experice of visit put a damper on things slightly. Coffee was good but some people at our table ordered alternative milks and got regular milk.Little things were missed like providing spoons with coffee, proving cutlery (some of ours were dirty). The lady (manager?) said that they had been super busy the day before for their 1 year anniversary so I understand to a point that these things may have been missed due to tired staff.I like to think that visiting on a different day would be a more positive experience.

First and best impressions of the Kitchen Farm Pantry.A cosy atmosphere with sofas, couches and a lovely wood fire place, service was good and with a smile. Also Ice coffees were amazing and I couldn't complain. Outside is a beautiful with picnic tables and a fire pit, perfect on a winters day✨.I definitely recommend checking this hidden gem out.♡.

Everytime we go, which is several times now, we have a problem with our order and so do other tables. The young staff seem to struggle with your ordering system. Table numbers are not used and staff have to wander out and ask customers if this is their meal. We no longer buy coffee and it was consistently awful. If you are going to sell coffee in Mt Barker is has to be good, you are up against Sazon, Grounds for coffee and Gawler street. The Manager seems to be always stressed and speaks to the very young staff in a terrible tone and sometimes swears. The food however is tasty and the young staff try hard. The environment is gorgeous inside and out and dogs and kids have plenty of room. It could be a great place. But we will stick to the Main street from now on.
