Flinders Peak

The view from the top is worth the 1 hour return walk up and down, quite a few steps as advised by the sign but quite an easy walk with plenty of seating if you need a rest.Towards the top, definitely stop at the Geoglyph lookout.At the top, on a clear day, you can see for miles with views of Melbourne, the Port Philip Bay and Geelong.

We also climbed to the top of Flinders Peak and saw amazing views!!! It was not an overly tiring walk...only took us about 1 hour return and we had to stop a few times for the amazing views!!!! On the top you can see a 360 degree view of the western side of Melbourne...highly recommended for anyone who loves hiking and sightseeing !!! This is the place for that!!!

Great quick hike, spectacular views and just enough to get the blood pumping.

Amazing walk for all abilities. Best views south of Melbourne bar none. You can see the Melbourne CBD skyline all the way to Torquay /Bells Beach and everything in between, including plane gazing from Avalon Airport. An absolute must if you're passing near by.

Came here on ANZAC Day in the morning and it was overflowing with people. Couldn't find a carpark for ages.The Flinders Peak trail was a nice easy hike and the view is beautiful on a clear day - you can see all the way to the city and the ocean!

Awesome place for a hike. The peak trail is challenging yet so well laid out. One of the best tracks I have encountered.Also attempted the east west trail which is longer, less challenging but still a great workout.Will definitely go back.

A steep but relatively well pathed trail up to Flinders Peak offering breathtaking views from the Melbourne CBD over to Geelong. We found the trail to be pretty doable (1hr return) for our kids and the family dog though the many steps might be an issue for older walkers or anyone with a pram.

Beautiful place to hike. Quite an easy uphill hike with small kids taking around 2.5 hrs back and forth.

Great for a hike or a picnic especially if you are in the west of Melbourne since its just a short drive. Very popular and crowded on weekend. You can bring your dogs too.There are 3 car parks from the bottom to midpoint of the peak so you can choose to park where you wanna start your walk. Toilets and picnic tables and chairs are available at each car park.Big rock walk is best for family with kids as its just couple of steps from the car park. Plenty of picnic slots with bbq and fire pits too.We did the main walk from the bottom car park to Flinder peak. 8.7km. Took us around 1.5 hrs to the top with resting and photo time and 45 mins to get down. We are quite fit and average hikers.
