Not a good experience. Ordered a $6.50 iced chocolate. Received chocolate powder and milk with ice. Upon asking staff if this was an iced chocolate they stated cream and ice cream is additional

These places were awesome a few months ago until they chaged locations within the complex. Unfortunately since that time the level of service has reached a point where id say it it unlikely either will be in business for much longer. Oh well... It was good while it lasted... Went there again 10 April 21 at 10am to give them one more chance. They had toasted sandwiches in the cabinet that they said they were unable to supply.

Asked for an egg and lettuce sandwich today, menu stated fresh sandwiches made to order. Was a bit surprised when asked by the girl if I wanted fried or poached egg. She went off and came back said that eggs were fried ? My sandwich came with an overcooked fried egg with a mixture of green leaves, needless to say it really was terrible. Coffee was okay. Not keen to visit again

Good coffee but service is a little slow and Sunday opening hours are way too late. 10:00am is a joke and Cafe society who opens earlier is jam packed because of your absence. You're giving away your prime operating hours to your competitors lol.

Have been there many times over the past 2 years. Is obvious that is has slowly been declining, but today was the last straw. Ordered beans on toast with bacon. What I received wouldn't even pass as a kids meal. 3 pieces of dry brown bread 1 piece of short cut bacon and enough beans to cover half a peice of bread. Pathetic. The coffee was burnt aswell. Unfortunately this service is consistent with most cafe's in Townsville.

I’ve been here several times, and the experience is consistent. The coffee is good, and the food is standard cafe fare. Just don’t go there seeking any speed or efficiency.... a thousand staff, all who appear lost, placing an order takes forever and then waiting for it is even longer. If you’ve got things to do at Castletown, you’ll waste the majority of your time standing at this establishment... go early and pray that the other stores are still open when you’re finally done :)Edit : the staff are actually lovely, so if you have the time and nothing else to do, it is still worth it.

Pretty disappointed with our experience today, the cafe has toasted sandwiches on their menu so we asked for a special requested toasted sandwich (vegemite and cheese) and was told by the young girl that the chef can’t do it. However they could do vegemite toast with cheese. We couldn’t understand why they couldn’t make a simple vegemite and cheese toasted sandwich, they have all the ingredients and it is no more difficult than making a ham, cheese & tomato toasted sandwich. Considering that many businesses are closing, you would assume that open businesses would go above and beyond for their customers so they can stay in business. I guess they have enough business with the few customers they have, that they don’t need new customers.
