I’m not one to write a review, my first ever on a restaurant but I’d steer clear of this one and pick any of the others along Brighton. Mikes is usually great but haven’t been to the one at Brighton before. I ordered the fisherman’s basket for $26 dollars so thought it should be above seafood, at least better than takeaway. However I received overly battered food and what appeared and definetly tasted to be frozen out of a bag. Which should not be the case because they are literally situated across the road from the water. Should not be hard to source decent seafood. In order to get any down I had to drown out the taste it in dips. So for 26 dollars most people would expect tasty seafood. Then the person with me ordered the prawn pasta which was dry and tasteless. Later being sick that night vomiting. (The staff were friendly but I feel like they are certainly lacking in the kitchen, and think that was reflected in not even half the tables in there being filled where other mikes are always booked out on Sunday night).

Horrible horrible surf and turf the steak asked for it medium (have a look at the hole attempted to cut into was not eatable the mash was powder mix drowned in pepper with 3 measly prawns and little bernaise sauce really disappointed, chef needs to quality check his products never coming back, wouldnt feed this to my dog!!!

Lunch Wed 19/10/22. 8 People.First visit to Mikes for club members.Friendly service.8 Happy people,all varied meals were from a great available selection. The seafood was fresh and local.Fantastic deserts,cakes and pasteriesThe clubs wine a good quality listing at an affordable price.We'll all be back and will also from now make use the takeout service . Well Done Mike & Team A Great Day.Thank You

We recently dined there and what we thought was another restaurant in the Mike’s Group, this actually was not. (Logo is similar to Mike’s which fooled us into thinking we were going to receive the same quality as Mike’s other restaurants). Although they tried, the food was not up to the expectations of what we are used to.The salt and pepper squid was nice, the prawn linguine was extremely oily and the salmon fillet was a overcooked and just lacked taste. I wouldn’t visit again.

Thank you for a wonderful birthday lunch for 17 people. The food and service were excellent, as were the staff. All our guest were very impressed, we will definitely be returning.

We had a really nice time at Mike's Grill, I had beef short ribs, one of the specials. The portion was huge, but more importantly it was delicious.My wife had steak which was nice, a little over cooked. Kids cheese burger meal was really nice, it came with a drink and ice cream. Kids meal was free as we spent more than $25 and was between Thursday and Sunday. Will be back again.

Mike's Grill & Bar Brighton Le Sands
We were out for NYE and asked for extra chairs. Casey’s colleague got us chairs from up stairs. Casey accused us from taking chairs from adjoining tables and then threatened to kick us out. No customer service skills what so ever. I would think twice about booking here again. Perhaps the RSL club should see them the door!!!
