I have dreamt about becoming a DJ almost every day for the past 25 years.So, when I finally decided to ‘bite the bullet’ and book in for lessons, I knew I was going to need an instructor who was supportive, patient, and able to deal with both my nerves and my excitement.I’m so glad I decided to go with Jay Berry’s DJ School at Enoggera.Jay is not only a highly skilled technician, but also a professional, calm, and easy-going teacher/instructor. Jay answered every question I had concerning DJ skills, the music industry, crafting a persona and most importantly how to create banging sets. Not to mention Jay’s studio is located in a wicked 1970’s retrofitted building.Jay helped me feel so comfortable with the idea that I could achieve my lifelong goal of becoming a DJ that the very next day I went out and purchased my first set of decks!I would highly recommend Jay to anyone looking for professional DJ tuition in a safe, supportive, and fun environment.Well worth the trip from the Gold Coast!Thanks mate

I finally decided to go to DJ Lab for a complete DJ course (which I reccomad) a year ago. It was the best decision I made in my life. The course was well taught and the Teachers can answer any questions and give you good suggestion for your mixes. If you’re looking at getting into music production or increasing your skillset in producing then Jay is definitely your guy! I started my music production course with him back in October 2022 and can’t thank him I’m enough for all the help, knowledge and guidance he has passed onto me! I honestly wouldn’t look anywhere else to learn music production. No matter how beginner or advanced you are Jay is incredibly patient and understanding of the pace you’re learning at.

I recently decided to get a DJ lesson as I'm only self taught and wanted to get rid of any bad habits that have developed over the years. I had a 2 hour lesson with Jay and I finally learnt how to beatmatch the right way. I recently played my first big festival and a range of other gigs and they have all been a success thanks to DJ lab! Highly recommended!

I turned to DJ Lab with no experience playing and a desire to turn a passion of listening to music, into a hobby of playing music.Lessons with Ryan had me progressing at a comfortable rate and I kept going back, hungry for more.Very quickly, I knew I wanted to move beyond being a bedroom DJ or just playing at house parties and set my eyes on playing clubs.Last month, 10 months after my 1st lesson, I played my first club gig in The Valley and can’t thank Ryan & Jay enough for their help and encouragement along the way.Through DJ Lab, I’ve also got to know several other students & past students - some of which I now class as my closest friends.My experience at DJ Lab has been priceless, bringing me a lot of happiness, passion for a skill and friendships.

Jay is an absolute weapon behind the decks and in the studio. This talent and know how really translates through his teaching as well.
